All in 1
Kickstarter is challenging creators to launch one week projects as a creative sprint in the month of March. Originally, Kittea was going to be funded through a much longer pre-order event, but followers of my brand voted overwhelmingly for a seven day project here. Some of my previous Kickstarters with higher funding goals have funded in a week or less, so I decided to give it a shot. So with seven days and seven tiers, here's my seventh project:
It's Kittea Time!
Purrista Pawfee started a couple of years ago with the Catpuccino, a cute coffee cup cat. It has since grown to include more cat/food hybrid characters all related to coffee culture. Knowing that not everyone is a coffee drinker, I came up with the Kittea as part of the group.
Kittea measures 30" around at the widest point (not including tail 'handle') and 10" tall. The plush is made out of super soft minky fabric. The spout is embroidered with a kitty paw print. Dangling off the back is a tea tag with the Purrista Pawfee logo to complete the look.
The goal of $7,000 will cover:
- Production and shipping costs for the plush Backer rewards, shipping materials and associated postage
- Taxes, and the 10% combined fee taken out by Kickstarter and Stripe (the company processing payments).
Kittea is one of my larger plush and while I have done what I can, shipping will be more than the smaller Purrista Pawfee plush.
International backers will be responsible for any customs fees and/or taxes.
Add On Shop
Backers can add additional plush to their pledge during the campaign! Just adjust your pledge total to reflect the cost of any additional plush you want with your package.
Due to limited quantities, backers who want Mewcarons will need to select the specific tier with the Mewcaron they want. This allows me to control quantity and make sure they are not oversold.
As this campaign is so short, as of launch I have no stretch goals formally lined up. That's not to say I don't have some ideas! Should we reach goal faster than expected, I will announce stretch goals through the Update section and will edit this main page.
*Before pledging - make sure that the email address associated with your Kickstarter account is one that you check regularly! This address is the only way I have to communicate with you regarding backer surveys for your rewards, obtaining your shipping address and answering any questions you may have regarding the project. I want to make sure you get the rewards package for your pledge! I have had some backers miss out on previous projects as they list an email that is not used very often and then I have no way to contact them.
Risks and challenges
I've had 6 successfully funded Kickstarters and have gained a lot of experience from them. Many fulfillment processes are in place for smooth shipping of backer rewards.
Shinedown Productions is a well-established company for manufacturing plushies. However, like any collaborative project, production delays with the factory or shipping delays may occur, especially for overseas manufacturing. If these should happen, I will notify all backers through updates here and by email.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
