An old man trapped on a suicidal, planet sized super-computer, escapes and goes searching for his unknown grandchild.
CAYRELS RING - Issue One "Rend it"
Cayrels Ring is a 40 page, full color comic book that builds a new galaxy, featuring many worlds and many people. The first story arc, "Rend It", is told in eight chapters with each chapter being illustrated by a different artist.
I’ve called this unique process the STACKS UNIVERSE as it takes multiple short stories, illustrated by different artists, stacking them up to make a single cohesive story.
"Rend It" follows many narratives including that of Jamitch, a scientist trapped on a planet sized supercomputer gone suicidal. Jamitch manages to escape and goes searching for his unknown grandchild. The fallout of his actions and the fate of the suicidal supercomputer is far reaching.
This first story in CAYRELS RING sets the table for a wealth of stories about those who live and die in this far away Ring Galaxy.
Here is a sneak peak at the first chapter with art by Alchemichael and colors by Cassie Kelly.
Cayrels Ring is the brainchild of writer Shannon W. Lentz. He has gathered up some of the top indie comic book talent to collaborate and bring life to this complex galaxy.

Simon's work can be seen in the pages of PROPHET(Image Comics) where he helped create some of the best, most mind bending science fiction recently seen in the North American comic scene. He recently wrapped up working on his book HABITAT, also published by Image comics.
Farel Dalrymple created an amazing book called THE WRENCHIES, from First Second Books. Farel’s Eisner nominated webcomic, IT WILL ALL HURT is available in three comics book issues from Study Group Comics. He also did some amazing work in PROPHET (see below).
Alchemichael has been making a name for himself through his fantastic Tumblr feed as well as his work on HEART OF WEIRDNESS. You'll see his work featured onthis months cover of ISLAND Magazine. Alchemichael's art is also seen above in the first Chapter of Cayrels Ring.

You might know him from his two successful Kickstarters for MIRENDA.
Mysterious young super artist out of Russia. I seriously know little about this man other than he is one talented dude. Filya makes Darrows hands ache simply by looking at his work. Check-out his Tumblr. I'm sure you'll be seeing his work in other books soon.
Aaron writes and draws a web comic about the first World War.
The book will be colored by Cassie Kelly. An artist and colorist whose color work has appeared in Cluster (Boom Studios) and Invader Zim (Oni).
