D-DAY OPERATION OVERLORD WORLD WAR 2 IN YOUR POCKET 2 PLAYER
World War 2 in your pocket, D-Day Operation Overlord is a 2 player pocket travel game, plays in 30 minutes.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Thu, August 9 2018 8:25 PM UTC +00:00.
World War 2 in your pocket D-Day Operation Overlord is a two player game, ideal as a filler before or after your main gaming event. Also great as a travel game to take on holiday or when you're out with friends. It plays in 20-40 minutes for players aged 8+. It's quick to learn but has levels of strategy, learn from your enemy and try to out think them in this luck, memory and quick thinking game. Artwork by Adrian Stone.
- Condense D-Day into a game no bigger than a standard deck of cards, making it highly portable.
- Quick to setup, learn with minimal rules.
- Had to contain historial references.
- Had to be fun and accessible to all age groups and non gamers.
- Have strategy as well as luck.
- Contain original artwork.
- Bonus to raise some money for charity.
Recreate the greatest military landing in history, "The Allies versus Germany's Atlantic Wall" in World War 2. Use your battle and equipment cards to out smart your opponent, win battles to win the vital beaches, make the best of events and your contact cards to seal the fate of Europe in 1944. Who will be victorious?

WILL I LIKE THIS GAME?
If you like a game that is quick to setup, learn, play, highly portable, fun has elements of luck, memory and quick thinking, I believe you will like D-Day. I think gamers and non gamers will enjoy it.
However if you like more in-depth strategy, rules and a longer game then it may not be for you.
COMMENTS FOR EASTERN FRONT
Here are a few comments from Boardgamegeek about my first Kickstarter Eastern Front.
Well balanced, fast, thematic and excellent fun even when you are losing. Mixes a good historical theme with a tense bluffing game that really makes you think how to sequence your card plays.
Got the Kickstarter- played the game quite a few times with other gamers and family. Great fun, plays quick, bluff card tactics work well and great historic theme. Has a lot of strategy for a simple, easy to explain game. Cards look great and quality product. Currently one of our favorite go to quick war-game.
Very good fast paced game. Very historical too (and a very strong art direction and illustrations). I strongly recommend it.
Good little filler, like the bluff mechanism not a huge amount of depth to it but definitely what I would classify as good for the pub.
I am only having one this time to keep things simple.
£1500 Project Funded
£3000 Higher grade 300gsm blue core card will be used on all D-Day games.
I will be posting all pledges myself, postage will be paid upfront when you pledge. I will post worldwide.
Postage for 3 games is the same for 2 games, so if you have a friend and you both want a copy, bare this in mind to save yourselves on postage.
If the game is funded I aim to deliver the game by January 2019, hopefully sooner.
ABOUT ME & FUTURE PROJECTS
Like many people I love games and have backed over 120 projects on kickstarter. With the success of my last Kickstarter I was able to do another and here it is. Future card game projects include Battle of Britain, Wolf Pack, Bomber Command, Spartans, Waterloo and The Fire Serpent. I would also like to do a fantasy solitaire card game.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
I have already had one successful Kickstarter, so I'm confident I can deliver again. The artwork is done and I have a manufacturer ready to take an order.
