Two years ago, with the milKit valve system, we started our mission to make tubeless easy, and our mission has not changed. The successful launch of the milKit valve system (see campaign) and the many motivating compliments we received for our first product and its design encouraged us to keep developing the products that improve and simplify the tubeless experience for cyclists. Talking to mechanics and tubeless riders we often heard: "This milKit system is awesome but can't you also find an easy solution to the one problem remaining with tubeless tires: inflating them without having to use a compressor?"
Inflating tubeless tires can be difficult to impossible without having a compressor at home. With milKit booster we want to bring you a simple, effective and inexpensive solution to get tubeless tires inflated. Let's make tubeless easy!
There are solutions on the market already to replace a compressor but they are expensive, heavy and more complicated to use than the milKit booster.

The Aluminum bottles we use are standard drinking and fuel bottles like SIGG, Laken, MSR and many more. So once we'll ship you a robust drinking bottle – why shouldn't you be able to use it as a drinking bottle?! We add an adapter, tube and bite valve to the booster package so you have a complete drinking system ready.
Having the drinking system with you on the trail now means having the booster with you as well. The booster without the bottle is very small and lightweight and fits into any backpack. Flat tubeless tire on the trail? Use a tubeless repair kit (like this for example), inflate your tire with the milKit booster, keep on riding.
The milKit booster is a simple and inexpensive solution but the tools needed for the injection molding parts to produce the booster are still very expensive. The goal of this campaign is to get these tools pre-financed while delivering early access to quality tubeless installation tools to our supporters.

The core technology of the milKit booster is the valve-actuated slider that releases the air directly into the valve stem. No hose. No additional valve.
While the milKit booster is compatible with any tubeless tire valve, it works best with milKit tubeless valves. Because you remove the valve core before inflating tubeless tires (to achieve the highest possible air flow), a conventional tubeless valve does not act as a one-way valve anymore. The patented milKit valves have an additional rubber flap at the bottom that works as an additional one-way valve. Inflate the booster, press it on the valve, remove it, and your tires is installed. No hassle and no stress.

Smooth design and practical solutions are our mission – milKit was born out of a team of industrial designers and product developing engineers. Users loved the design of the milKit valve system and we are sure you will also like the design of the booster.
When we faced the problem of having to inflate a tubeless tire during our holidays in a remote area we started to improvise and came up with a solution to replace the compressor temporarily. We inflated a PET drinking bottle and used the accumulated air to inflate our tire. Many people have built similar makeshift versions of tubeless inflators, like these:
While these are all creative masterpieces, we were looking for a safe and ready to use system out of the box. That's why we decided to build upon and refine this concept and turn it into a durable, professional quality product with additional features.
The milKit valve system solves a problem that we have experienced for years and wanted to find a solution for: you never really know how much sealant is left in your tubeless tire. We were surprised how fast the quantity and the quality of sealants can decrease in your tire.
Before milKit you had to take the tire off the rim to see how much sealant is left – which always ends in a mess. With milKit you can measure and refill the sealant in a tubeless tire without having to release the air from the tire.
Additionally, milKit valves make the installation of tubeless tires easier (especially in combination with the milKit booster) and prevent the valves from getting clogged by the sealant. Have a look at our video to see more about milKit.
The way to bringing the milKit system to the market has been a challenge and an amazing time for the milKit team. We are proud of the result and the feedback from you encourages us to keep working in the same direction. New team members have since added valuable inputs to our mission and we are looking forward to solving another problem with a beautiful solution.
Risks and challenges
While we have taken proactive measures to prevent manufacturing and shipment delays, there still might be some things we cannot control. We have gained a lot of experience through our last crowdfunding campaign from which we delivered a high quality product on time – so we are fully confident that we will achieve these goals again.
We provide a reinforced Aluminum bottle to guarantee maximum security for our customers. We do not recommend using other bottles than the ones we provide.
