An abandoned ghost ship yields a special bottle of beer from 1852. 158 years later, a man recreates the ale on a motorcycle journey.
My goal for this project: final funding to Albatross Studios (Moscow , Russia) on edits and the production of Arctic Alchemy. This Kickstarter effort will bring my dream to reality, a work of mine for nearly 5 years .
Arctic Alchemy is a Full Feature Documentary Film !
One of the most unique stories and adventures you will ever see !
A mysterious old bottle of beer from 1852 that sells for $500,000 dollars, fuels the fire and passion in one man's heart and mind. A mind-blowing tale of how this bottle of beer is discovered and is ultimately connected with the President of the United States and the Queen of England!
The main character Christopher Bowen, who is a beer historian, adventurer, and slightly insane, convinces a couple of friends to ride to the Canadian Arctic on motorcycles with him, while towing a portable micro-brewery behind them, to recreate this amazing 19th century ale near the Hudson Bay in the arctic.
4000 miles, 3 motorcycles and 1 beer !
Arctic Alchemy has been covered by Forbes Magazine

In addition to many other newspaper, magazine and television coverages, and most importantly, the beer I have created has won 2 major awards for outstanding achievement:
1. Gold Medal- World Beer Championship 2011
2. Bronze Medal- Great American Beer Festival 2011

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The funding of this film was my complete responsibility from start to finish, making a documentary is a challenging task. I accepted the challenge and dove in with both feet. What was most difficult was the short time frame in which we had to assemble funds to make the initial journey.
Because of weather and the daunting task of bringing filmmakers here from Russia, I had to make sure all the details where in place prior to departure. I have personally contributed almost 30,000 dollars into this project, the budget for the trip was nearly 60,000, so I had my work cut out for me. I and so many other friends, family and fans believed in what I was doing, that in the end, it all came together.
What I need now, is to raise the final dollars to see it to completion, with Kickstarter's crowd-funding efforts, I believe it will.
