Last year I came to you for help publishing FUBAR’s first original graphic novel: MOTHER RUSSIA and you guys came out in surprising numbers to help us do just that.
Hi! My name is Jeff McComsey and I’m the editor in chief of the historical zombie anthology FUBAR and I’m back once again to ask for your support on our newest project: FUBAR BY THE SWORD.
Our previous volume, FUBAR American History Z covered all of American history and we felt the only natural follow up to that would be to expand our scope to all of world history. Therefore I am beyond proud to announce the fourth volume of our historical zombie anthology, FUBAR: BY THE SWORD.
So replace zombie George Washington with zombie King Arthur, zombie Vikings, zombie Samurais and well… you get the idea.
The 225 pages of FUBAR BY THE SWORD span all of world history from Ancient Rome to Medieval Japan all the way over to the Dark ages of Europe.
Featuring stories written by:
Jeff McClelland, Magnus Aspli, Shawn Aldridge, Jeff McComsey, Mike Imboden, Matt Smith, Ben Truman, Michael McDermott, Chuck Dixon, Jennie Wood, Mike Isenberg, Oliver Mertz, Dan Moser, Dan Nokes, Chad Lambert and Steve Becker!
Featuring stories illustrated by:
Steve Becker, Matt Smith, Jeff McComsey, Aluisio Cervelle Santos, Matt Smith, Peebo Mondia, Rob Croonenborghs, John Broglia, Jonathan Brandon Sawyer, Glen Ostrander, Michael Bracco, Chris Peterson, Steve Willhite and Daniel Thollin!
We’ve even included some Arthurian legend for good measure. Right now the book contains inspired work by over 35 writers, artists and letterers.
In addition to By The Sword we’re also offering another exclusive volume: FUBAR DECLASSIFIED.
This 120 page volume collects all of our Special Operations styled FUBAR stories from last year and includes a half dozen new black op stories we’ve put together just for this Kickstarter.
We’re asking for the funds to print and deliver these books to you. Any money over our initial goal will go towards printing more FUBAR.
We’ve got a lot of cool stretch goals up our sleeves in case we hit our goals that include more pages for these two volumes and some fun one-shots.
To get there we have a lot of cool rewards where you can own all of our previous FUBAR volumes, t-shirts as well as original art from both volumes, plus a whole lot more.
Kickstarter remains the best way to get our books to our fans first and make some new fans along the way. It also allows us to keep FUBAR independent and self-published.
Risks and challenges
Coordinating multiple print runs and shipping those rewards out can be difficult but as we have with our five previous campaigns we will get your rewards out to you asap!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
