About this project
Have you heard of Operation: Moonfall? Since you are reading this there is a good chance the answer is yes, and if in fact you are a Moonfall supporter then odds are you are a bit of a sucker for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. I certainly am, and to that end I humbly request your help in funding the creation of a limited series run of high-quality, screen printed by hand posters designed to pay tribute to Operation: Moonfall and to its inspiration.
You may be wondering exactly why you should be interested in this project; possibly you don’t exactly see the potential benefits it offers to you, the potential backer. Well for starters there is the fact that your pledge buys you a hand crafted and highly limited piece of art. Those unfamiliar with the process of silk screen printing can look to our video for a more detailed explanation of the process (I’m sure the ole’ Google machine could give you some information as well) but for the moment I will just say that it creates a very high quality print. Those familiar with contemporary screen printing outlets such as Mondo Posters will know the ballpark we are in here. Additionally, Mathias Valdez of Lastleaf Printing, our chosen printing service, has several years of experience both designing and printing posters for bands, corporations, and many others (Lastleaf’s online portfolio can be found here at lastleafprinting.com).
All of our chosen incentives revolve around getting a unique piece of screen printed art into your hands. Should funding for this project be successful, signed copies of the Operation: Moonfall print will be sent to the offices of Eiji Aonuma, Satoru Iwata, Reggie Fils-Aime, and the one and only Shigeru Miyamoto, along with the names of every backer for this Kickstarter project. This will be done to show these titans of the gaming industry our thanks and appreciation for their role in giving us the world of Termina. In addition, backers who pledge ‘Fierce Deity’ level will have their name physically printed on these posters as well as on their own purchased copy, labeling you as a Majora’s Mask mega fan (and showing Nintendo that too)!
It is possible that you are not a follower of Operation: Moonfall, and that you simply have an interest in screen printed art, or maybe you just think the colors are pretty. Regardless, our sincere desire is to use your money, pledged to us in good faith, to create for you a wonderful piece of art that will commemorate one of the most significant public movements in the history of gaming.

Risks and challenges
As will any hand-crafted art job, screen printing carries with it the possibility of human error. With that being said, Mo Valdez is very skilled at his craft and we have absolutely no reason to believe that these prints will not be gorgeous.
The bigger challenge is simply the distribution of all these rewards in a timely manner. Rest assured that I, being proud of my work and respecting you as a customer, will not be getting lazy once the money is in the bank. Our rewards section states an estimated delivery date of November 2013. I fully expect the bulk of our orders to be filled and shipped out before we get to November, however things do happen and in the event that there is some delay, that date should give us some breathing room.
Backers who would like to pledge more than one reward level are certainly able to do so. Simply calculate the combined cost (+shipping if you are international) and pledge that amount, specifying to us which rewards you are pledging for. In regards to shipping there are several ways we can work to make this less of a hassle, for instance if you were to pledge for multiple paper prints, we could send them all in one tube together making only one shipping charge necessary (again for international backers only, shipping is included on all domestic orders). The same is true if you want both wood prints, we could package them together. However if, say you wanted the Red, Purple, and Gold Rupee rewards and were an international buyer, you would need to pay double the shipping charge since the two posters you pledged would need to be packaged separately from the wood print.
The Silver and Gold level reward will be printed on 1/8 masonite board, which is a thin but sturdy wood and is also lightweight, making it easier to ship. In addition, both the Silver and Gold rewards will have a shimmery pearlescent sheen added to the inks on the colored highlight layers (the orange color on the Silver, the red color on the Gold).
Unfortunately, since the production of these prints cannot go forward until funding is available (they cannot be printed individually, only in large runs) there will be no pictures of the final product before the campaign has ended. We could of course print digital versions to share with you, but as we are using some specialty inks and paper stock on the final product, a digital print mock-up would look quite far away from the quality you will have on the final poster.
