Dear friends.
We have some news: our website has been updated, now you can find current info and latest news there. We will no longer post comments on our Kickstarter page, now all updates are posted on our Blog (http://blog.pgslab.com/). You can ask questions and communicate with us via the feedback service on our website. Also check for updates on our pages in social media. The PGS LAB Team.
On the other hand, GPD actually does have a device they will deliver (GPD WIN). Granted, it's bulkier, uglier, and more expensive; it has one VERY important factor that the PGS doesn't: it's actually real. So I highly suggest going there if you want a PGS-like device.
Welp if it wasn't already obvious, I'm just gonna say it: this whole thing really was a scam (or something not far from it). It's become obvious that they ended the campaign to quietly go into the dark, never to be seen or heard from again. I used to be a hardcore supporter of the PGS & actually REALLY want this device to come to life (still do), but it's obvious this team of fakes isn't the ones to give me that. I'm SO grateful I didn't wind up spending money on this as it wouldve been a massive waste, and I'm so sorry to any of you that did waste money pre-ordering nothing.
For me it's still a scam, I'll believe it only when i'll see the product on amazon, and I won't buy it before there is tons of review telling that it does really handle AAA games.
THIS IS A SCAM he canceled it specifically because he couldnt answer the questions and concerns to kickstarter but still wanted to spam his pre order page
@gov
You are not only disrespecting PGS Labs, but many of the backers by posting other products here. It is one thing to just mention them, it is another to advertise.
@Gov
Stop wasting the comments with unrelated things like SmachZ or something like that. It becomes really annoying. We are interested (at least I am) in news about PGS, that's why we visit this page. This is definitely not a right place for stuff like you are posting.
Still no new prototype info and no website update...I'm getting more and more glad I didn't spend any money on this project (& I used to be one of your biggest supporters)
Dear gaming fans. The next prototype we are going to show you will be based on a custom PCB, being as close as possible to the final device. As for our investor, we will disclose info only when we have got a permission, when all details have been discussed, the manufacturer has been chosen and initial agreements with retailers have been made. We are preparing a big update of our website which, hopefully, will help you find answers on most of your questions.
@Viral Videos
these guys have not proved themselves to be credible; instead they point fingers on others as to why their campaign wasnt successful.
@TeamPGS
the longer u guys decoy and distract, not too sure what is left of the reputation of PGS. not showing us any solid evidence that campaign is legitimate
....i was confused why it was canceled now i know why , he knew kickstarter asked questions and was about to close it , but he wouldnt be allowed to comment and suck more people into this SCAM , now he is able to , smart guy very smart move
@nexranger
There already hundreds of such comments as your last one have been posted here. That type of "saviour" comments. Please don't waste your time, people can decide themselves what to do. You don't have any evidences that our project will definitely fail. Since that, don't try to save others from the failure of our project which is only in your imagination, only your guess. Thanks.
@Warpath
Our processor will have an overclocking feature and active cooling, the performance will be higher than in the tablet you have mentioned. But thanks for trying to help.
trainwreck crowdfunding (based on the video and evidence) is more likely.
those who still insist to preorder, prepared to get burned if things dont work out (yup thats where they scam you; ie we did our best but things didnt work out; the money its ours now).
I have a tablet with a z8700 processor and it really isn't the best for gaming. I see PGS is going for gaming but maybe a product similar to the Akyumen’s Holofone Phablet (under 7 inches and no projector) would be a better / easier venture.
@Mancomb Seepgood
It's just for people to be able to purchase the device for low price. Everyone may choose to buy either for regular retail price or for low discount price. Soon we are going to add PayPal option. Within PayPal secure period of half a year we will show more details and evidence of our project. As already said, one may cancel when in doubts.
@Terry Yap
Could you please provide more details about your issue?
@Emil Rune
No $10k pledges have been made in our campaign. We can provide the evidence.
@Sahey
Yes, it is still March 2017.
"If some of you has some doubts about our product"...
OLOLOLOLOLOL. Like I said before, you can't make this shit up if you try - this endeavour is a comedic gold mine. Yeah PGS, I will awaiting your "final device" with bated breath. I expect nothing less a paradigm shift in mankind's collective consciousness that will usher in along world peace.
Hello everyone.
We'd like to reply about a pre-order function. It is intended just to allow anyone to order for the KS price. If you are unsure whether to pre-order or not, you can simply wait for retail sales. We do not encourage the doubting people to pre-order. By the way, after the month will have passed, it's probably that we will add some other discounts.
In addition, if some of you has some doubts about our product, you can wait for reviews of our final device. As soon as the final device is released we will send test samples to journalists, many of them are waiting for it to make reviews.
Can someone who didn't already reported to KS tell KS that the PGS creators are still using KS comments to advertise their future trainwreck through another website with an upfront payment (that is, a pre-order for an in-existing product which cannot be refunded with a potential damage to image and trust for KS if their backers happens to blame KS inaction when this scam becomes an evidence)?
@PGS Lab:
You have your private investor, we don't care who is he, you now have the funds required. Why the first thing you did after KS cancellation was to update the preorder section of your site whereas you don't even have a product to sell or to preorder? Sales in this world are not happening this way....
Step 1: Use your investor funds to design and create a working prototype of your product. Take your time, don't be in a hurry, don't promise features that are never going to be implemented. You have shown near to zero technical engineering skills, this counts against you.
Step 2: Update your site with up-to-date info about your real product features (not imaginary ones)
Step 3: When ready for mass production, open the order/preorder system
You are acting very irrational and you are setting traps to yourselves. World doesn't need PGS Labs, eventually some other manufacturer will produce a similar to your product for us to buy, it's PGS Labs that needs us to buy it's product (if it ever sees the light of day), so think twice your moves!
@PGS
work on your prototype and come back later with your preorders. KS showed that there is a demand for this. seriously.
dont promise something to the backers when you have nothing to even show us.
1. working PCB (never mind bout prototype case ie no point having the car body when you dont have the motor running the first place)
2. stop asking for money when u have investor (we respect the privacy bit).
either you reveal your investor and we pledge OR keep your investor private and we wait. its not a one sided thing.
To add to Mancomb Seepgood's point, if you are planning to implement PayPal you will surprised to find out they'll freeze your account. PayPal doesn't accept payment for preorders, but if you took 2 seconds to look at their ToS you would know that PGS....
Another point I have is why are you taking backer money when you have an "investor". Seems pretty shady when you have said countless times that you don't need our money. Celery, your payment system allows payment on delivery and considering you have an "investor" why is anyone paying up front for something that should be charged when it has been produced. Very fishy...
Finally, you continue to update on here and use KS as some for of business communications which I can't imagine is kosher with them.
At the end of the day this all doesn't make sense, you don't need backers and you are using backer money and still have not addressed any issues or questions anyone had in your KS campaign. This screams scam now and KS should pull this whole campaign from their site to protect anyone from throwing money at you until you actually can prove you are who you say you are, show evidence of real investors, a real prototype, and a development plan and schedule that makes sense.
Save your money people, saving $50 on the MSRP isn't worth the risk if this is vaporware or worse a scam.
Uh, I have a question. If your investor is now funding the production of the PGS, why are you taking money upfront? Why not delay the payment through trycelery until shipment?
I guess you could just be a poor salesman that can't balance his own books and leaves all the financial risk to his potential customers.
PayPal's terms of service prohibit taking payments for anything that you won't be able to ship in the next 30 days. If you are naive enough to preorder this thing, I wouldn't hold your breath for a PayPal option.
@All I do not advise anyone to pre order this console, too much contradicting info. Now they won't disclose who the private investors are, even though when this campaign was open they stated they were going to tell us. Also no Paypal means no refund, if you pay with a CC you will struggle to get your money back later on as you have willingly given them payment. By time you realise this is no longer happening you will be too late.
Sorry for that issue, the new system indeed doesn't support PayPal. The previous one (there were some problems with it) did support it, so we didn't even expect that the current one lacks the PayPal option. We will definitely add the PayPal payment soon.
@PGS
As you said you cannot disclose your incestor information, can you at least let us know why you cannot disclose them? You did memtiom about the agreement, what kind of agreement is it?
@Alec Arzh
Glad to know. But do you even know, that you are not using Paypal?
https://postimg.org/image/cdv9qbzrr/ There is direct payment through card, no Paypal option.
Lets say it is 8/2016. That is 8 months till 3/2017, so how that Paypal protecion would help anyway?
Use this space to cheer the creator along, ask questions, and talk to your fellow backers. Please remember to be respectful and considerate. Thanks!
