Hello and thank you to our first backers! We're so excited to bring Cumberland Folklife to audiences everywhere! We're off to a great start and we've still got 26 days left to reach our goal, but we could still use your help to spread the word. As I'm sure you all know by now, Kickstarter projects are all or nothing, so if we don't reach our goal we won't receive any funding. You've graciously backed our project, if you wouldn't mind taking the extra step to share it with your friends we'd be much obliged.

The principal filming has been completed, and our editors are ready and waiting for us. Our producers Rachel Boillot and Kyle Wilkinson (along with our LMU interns) have been working around the clock to transcribe over 150 hours of footage. We are finding cinematic gems left-and-right and are so confident in the importance of the product we are creating. Fun fact: Did you know that Cumberland Gap was the main crossing route to the West for Buffalo, Native Americans, and Settlers? Make sure you spread the word and feel free to message us through Kickstarter with any other questions.

Thanks again for your support!

Kyle & Rachel
