We're turning GoldieBlox into a Series! / Sneak Peek at Books 2 & 3

Dear friends,

We've hit the green light. We are going into production and it is all thanks to you. The dream of inspiring more girls to become interested in engineering is now becoming a reality. This is huge.

Now that GoldieBlox is going to become REAL, we're pushing for the next big milestone: turning this from a single book+toy into an entire series! Watch the video below for a sneak peek at the latest product developments at GB headquarters.

@Mike: Books 2 & 3 will also retail for $30 and come with all the pieces you need to build what's in the book.

@Amy & Jason: We've gotten a lot of requests for this, so we're working on it. Stay tuned!

I'm with Amy, will triple my pledge if you can add the next two books. Even if the release dates are later.

Are you adding book 2 & 3 on as add on goals? I will have to up my pledge if you are.

I have many smart little girls in my extended family and want them to be exposed to science and engineering concepts. Who knows one of them may be inspired to become an engineer and help solve some of the engineering problems our old infrastructure is causing. Thanks for thinking of a way to reach these little girls. Maybe you can develop a cartoon show to go along with your products. ;)

Less than 5 days says to me it is the perfect time for this product. Congratulations. I hope you will send out a survey with the first toy kits you send out to your backers. Many of us will have ideas for your next books and engineering principles.

I am a retired engineer and I think this is great! I wish I would have had this when I was little. Good work!

How wil the serialization work? Is the first GoldieBox a standalone kit and story, and the second two that you just announced are their own individual $30 kits with stories? Or are book two and three just books that you use with the first kit?

If all stories will run off of one kit, are there enough pieces in a single kit to build that two-level elevator system in the video, or will you need multiple kits for that?

I am SUPER SUPER excited about your project! You go girl!

I am so excited about this project! I have to disagree that the age would top out at 6. I know several girls up to age 10 that would find this fun.

So glad you're continuing into a series!

It's a really great project (obviously I love it and am backing it), but your age range is too high! Given what I'm seeing, it's going to top out at age 6. (And that's the comments I'm seeing from lots of moms.)
