yes, in normal operation mode there are no messages, not only to save a bit of time but also to avoid confusing an Arduino connected to the serial port. You have to manually switch JeVois to debug mode to see these boot messages.
add the quiet parameter to the kernel command line and boot time will be even faster! (sending hundreds of lines to a serial ports is extremely time consuming)
