Diesta is a game of minigames: strategic, physical, deceptive, creative, and mind-bending. You play a minigame, win some cards, and use those cards to power-up, sabotage, cooperate, and compete with your friends! The winner is the player with the most cards at the end of the game. Get ready to have fun, get to know each other, and enjoy the mayhem of Diesta!

Playtesters give us their thoughts at a recent playtesting party!
We, Rory and Andrew, have been playing and making games together since we were 7 years old, but this is the first game that we decided to share with the Kickstarter community. Andrew has successfully Kickstarted six projects, and has a Masters of Design including a tabletop game thesis. Rory uses game design skills to facilitate workshops for at-risk youth in Toronto.
Diesta draws inspiration from Mario Party; we wanted to recreate its diverse and chaotic minigames in the real world. Over the last 3 years, we’ve refined the game to make it balanced, easy to learn, and fun. Diesta has taken on its own life, with hilarious moments and lots of room for social connection.
Drawing on themes from Mario Party and other classic video games, fusing this with 80s and 90s pop-culture aesthetic – think Saved By The Bell – and spicing it up with some Tex-Mex influence (well, let's be honest, mostly just the tacos), Diesta creates a colourful, lively, and fun party ambience in which you'll definitely feel like exploding lots of confetti poppers all over the place – and only regret it moments later when you have to clean those little bits of paper up.
We would like to give the biggest thanks possible to our playtesters around the world – friends, family, board game geeks, café-goers, strangers passing by our streetside game tables – for your thousands of hours playing Diesta over the last three years!
