London-born Pete Nash was a journalist on UK regional newspapers and in Sydney, Australia, before joining The Sun, Britain's biggest-selling daily newspaper, as a sub-editor and layout artist in 1984.
He created Striker while working at The Sun and the strip made its debut on November 11, 1985.
Pete wrote and drew Striker for 13 years before deciding to create the entire production process in 3D animation software - a world first for a comic strip at that time.
