Lunar survival is an alternative history survival game, based on the hidden facts about Apollo 18 unsuccessful mission to Moon
We are really happy to present you something that has never been done before - a fictional story based on absolutely fictional space mission! As soon as we discover the documents about the Apollo 18 L.S. mission (which a good blogger from Egypt shared with us). And, so, we’ve contacted some of the top five movie companies to offer them our scenario and create a great blockbuster movie. Alas, after hard talks with front desk representatives and a few harsh security guards in all five studios, we understand Hollywood doesn't want to film a great movie. We had no choice but to offer our idea to someone who really cared (or as much as a huge wad of money gave anyway). We are proud to announce ALINA DIGITAL's new game, LUNAR SURVIVAL! We have millions of Zimbabwean dollars to invest (however Jeff blew most of it at the pub), this why we are here on Kickstarter campaigning for your money.
So, we will post in-game screenshots below to show you how the game will look, (the bluish shape on top right corner is Earth. This is exactly how our planet looks from the Moon – just a bluish shape in top right corner).
We use the Unity engine for developing our game. The game will have a general story line but it will not have a mission to mission form of the gameplay. The player (you) will be placed in an open-world Lunar environment where they can do what they want, when they want, however they want; whether this is to build and repair objects and machines, to the Moon, or maybe just a pleasant walk or drive across the Moon’s surface.
The Apollo module is the players home which will have everything necessary to their Lunar Survival. No matter what the player will do on their mission, the players spacesuit is limited on different factors like oxygen, energy, and the ability to move. The player's ability to stay longer on the Moon will depend on the upgrades they perform on their spacesuit and their ability to survive. The longer the player can spend their time outside Apollo 18 module the more they can explore, discover, or work.
I see you cannot wait to ask me about what challenges exist on the moon that await the player. But, before I answer your question, I would like to inform you of the rewards for donating to our project! All participants who pay at least $10 CAD (which is super cheap compared to your local currency!) will have their name in the game.
One of many challenges that await the player on the moon is will be the super unfriendly Lunar environment. There is no oxygen (confirmed NASA fact). One of the players goals is to gain communication with your space center, as a recent Lunar accident has destroyed your bases communication devices. The player will have to work hard to be able to reestablish communications, fix the lunar rover and find, repair or create many different, but fancy NASA gadgets and (that is the most complicated part of the game) connect the right cables between different gadgets and modules. Then you'll need to explore the surrounding Lunar areas, travel throughout the Moon, explore the world of science! and upgrade your spacesuit. And maybe, discover the truth about the Moon!
Alas, if you really want to know the truth about the Moon and what is happening there you may want to buy the game. Yes, it is that easy – get the game to know the fictional truth! For the super small amount of a few Canadian Dollars you are able to buy the game now … and play it later on the release day. The game will be released on Steam and you receive your activation key directly from Alina Digital.
There is one more option, if you cannot wait to know the fictional truth and play the game then what you need to do is volunteer to be apart of our closed beta testing of the game which will happen a few months before the final release. Beta testers will be able to participate in helping us fight bugs, influence game design and direction. Thus, Alina Digital wants to present you something absolutely crazy! If you have already watched our video you’d noticed there is a base on the Moon. It was Germ.. (khm khm ), not going to tell you who built it, but you can have your face among of those who built and lived in the base! Just imagine, all people who will play the game will see YOUR portrait on the wall. The portraits are big and the room is small. It means there is a limit of portraits available to hang on walls. Every person can create their own personal profile when the game starts. The player will enter their name, pick a nationality and choose a profile picture. Alina Digital will provide you with an absolutely incredible feature – to satisfy your hidden desire of narcissism and bring your character and picture to the profile picture library. When you play the game you need to pick a picture from the library for your profile - now here is the interesting feature, the picture represents the actual player’s appearance in the game. With the current Kickstarter offer, you will be able to have your picture in the game and let others play YOU in Lunar Survival! Risks and challenges
There isn't much risk in investing in Lunar Survival, we are an experienced team with a lot of knowledge and projects under our belts. We need some money to be able to pay the expenses for developing. But there is one big challenge for us. Like, really it is BIG! It’s the time frame. Knowledge from our experiences tells us it’s better to take longer time for developing and to polish the game instead of releasing it in a bad shape and get massive negative reviews from the angry players. For this project, we cannot provide an exact release day just yet. We want to make sure that the project is in the best condition we can provide for our players.
