Evil Twin: Update 1
First, the good news. Thanks to your amazing support, we reached the funding goal for the Evil Twins jigsaw puzzle. Hooray! That means I can greenlight production. It’s time to start the presses. That makes me happy. But, I also need to share some news that moderated my happiness this week.
A cloud on my week. As you may already know, I’m descended from a long line of fallible human beings. So I make a lot of mistakes. I made a big mistake on Tuesday when I launched this Kickstarter project. I accidentally set the end date for the project as November 25 when I intended to make it October 25. Apparently, I don’t know how to read a calendar.
While I am not officially an ignoramus, I do often act like one.
I contacted my friends at Kickstarter to have this obvious error corrected, but discovered the platform doesn’t allow a project date to be altered once the project has launched. Not even the technical wizards who built the platform can make this change. (So, maybe I am not the only fool on the planet.)
Before Christmas. You’ll still have your puzzles before the holidays. After the project closes and Kickstarter collects the pledges, we’ll ship instantly. All the puzzles will already be produced, boxed, and waiting to be labeled. I’m estimating that the ship date will be December 12, maybe slightly sooner. If that fact makes you queasy, you still have time to cancel your pledge.
Speaking of mistakes. I also included a typographical error in one of the pledge descriptions that has caused some confusion. Again, the Kickstarter platform makes it impossible to change a pledge description after someone has selected it. So, if you selected pledge level D, you will receive 2 of the Evil twin puzzles and 2 of the Bad Neighborhood puzzles, as shown in the illustrated Pledge Level table.
Again, thanks so much for your amazing support. Watch for an update soon with news of how production is progressing.
Yours, in apparently infinite fallibility,
