The End of a Campaign and the Start of a New Game

Posted by Roxlou Games (Creator)

Well that's it! Just a short update because it's the end of a long (but awesome) day and we're all totally drained.

When we started talking about making Unwritten we knew we wanted to make a game for people that wanted something different. However, we underestimated how life-changing participating in a community of passionate and dedicated people would be.

We are humbled to be given an opportunity to not only make this game, but also to collaborate with people that clearly care so much.

We will follow up with more information on rewards and the like tomorrow, but in the meantime, let's keep this party going! Click here to follow us (Website RSS, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc). Forums will be coming soon at, including a backers-only section. And stay tuned here at the Kickstarter for bimonthly developer updates on the progress of the game.

Thank you all so much for your support, and we will talk again very soon.

@Gary Are you trying to argue that Linux users are unable to install Windows in a separate partition? Or that Linux does not support virtual machines? oO
      Hint: neither is the case.

Thrilled to see this pull through in the end! Great job wrangling such an experimental project to this point. I have high hopes that this success will lead to great management of the game as well. Good luck!

Very happy to see that this got over the funding barrier!

This is my first game that I've backed, it's the first thing I've ever backed on here, so there's also the added feeling of happiness over helping see something reach over the funding goal as my first time!

Can't wait to see this game come out, and can't wait to join in with the rest of the community and start seeing how the game develops over time.

Well done guys, congrats to all involved in this process.

Hurray! Just as I was getting super bummed that the people in this hobby don't care about original games like this one, I get proven wrong. Big congrats, fellas. Can't wait to play what you come out with in the end.

Congrats! I'm so glad that you made it in the final hours!

You didn't make the 80K, but if you decide that it was "close enough for horse shoes" I would vote for a linux port. Mac users have many more options for running a windows or linux game than the reverse: Virtual Box, Parallels, VMWare Fusion or Boot Camp.

Even if you don't decide to do an extra port, mac users can run the windows version on in one of the above environments. That's what I plan to do...

Yaaaay, the goal was reached. Well done guys :)

Woohoo! I got my "funded" email.

In the final minute, you're probably not going to hit 80k, but if you decide to go for the Mac/Linux stretch goal anyway, I'd like a Mac version, please.
