♥ Shout Outs

Subset Games of FTL fame announced their next release - Into the Breach!

As with FTL, our very own Chris Avellone is assisting the Subset crew – he originally helped them out with encounters for the FTL: Advanced Edition.

He’ll still be leading our narrative efforts for us, of course... at SHODAN’s insistence.

Congratulations to the Subset team on the announcement – can’t wait!

Please keep an eye open for another update coming next week!

Also, make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and the System Shock Twitter.

Signing off with love

I added a t-shirt to my pledged item on the backerkit site but it's charging me separate shipping charges just for the t-shirt, can't the pledged item AND the t-shirt be combined and sent in my package?

Thanks for the update and showing how sound within the atmosphere is created. But man I need better head phones if I want the full immersion in terms of sound.

I *do* think it's cool, mr. Peros, thumbs up for attention to audio

Great video and update! A few questions for Jonathon: Will this work properly with surround setups or will the game only run in stereo? And is that a publicly available JS plugin you're running in Reaper? It looks awesome!

      @Shmerl
I once was swithering over backing a game project on Kickstarter then I saw the devs had used Windows rather than the all too common PC for Microsofts OS I backed them. Stupid but true.

      > Yes. Mac, Linux, and PC

Thanks for the update, but my Linux runs on PC, so the above phrase sounds off :) It's MacOS, Linux and Windows really.

Wasn't a PS4 version announced as well, or am I way off?

Well the ambiance sounds awesome! Will we get some new info about the game during GDC?

Have a great time at GDC! I'm looking forward to the news next week.

I'm sure you guys do a nice job and I think this will be an awesome remaster of the legendary System Shock!

That 4 channel design is so cool! I know Quadrophonic recording and listening is going to pic up a lot of speed in the next decade. In particular, atmospheric games should pic up on the trend ASAP.
      Really great idea!

Thanks for the ambisonic sound demo - very effective and worth the listen.

Spoiler-Alert in the video? He is talking about the unreal engine at the end?

Awesome. I'll keep my eyes open for your shirts at GDC and say hi If I find you. I'll be working as a Conference Associate so look for me in a bright purple CA polo.

Once you begin allowing additional funding via late pledges, paypal, etc...will all funds put towards the project moving forward count towards further unlocking stretch goals? Follow up - Will you attempt to solicit additional funds using marketing (or whatever else) to gain additional funds. Side note, was super disappointed the $1.4M and $1.5M goals weren't reached for the extra content and orchestral scores.
