SAVAGE WORLDS is a role-playing system, suitable for running amazing roleplaying adventures full of danger and excitement in any genre, from fantasy to science-fiction to horror and beyond. Savage Worlds is designed to let game designers such as myself create their own settings and stories using its ruleset, and that’s what I’ve done here. I can see your next question: “Luis, the names are too similar! Why didn’t you choose a name for your product that avoided confusion?” The answer is: I’m sorry about the confusion, and I know it’s not a smart marketing decision, but I really do believe Seven Worlds is the best name for this game. I tried different combinations and alternatives but always came back to this name. In the end it became a choice between marketing ease and “this is the right name” gut-feeling. If you want printed books they are available as Print-On-Demand (POD). This means that DriveThruRPG will print the books for you and ship them to your address.
Although the books are already paid for within the pledge, you will have to pay shipping costs. Sometime after the Kickstarter ends I will contact you with details on how we will handle shipment payments for you (I'm still figuring out if it's better for me to collect them for you, or for you to pay them directly to DriveThruRPG). STRETCH GOALS MIGHT CHANGE THIS! As you may have read in the description, two of our stretch goals allow us to fund an offset print run instead of POD. This helps us purchase the stock to get Seven Worlds into stores, thus increasing the reach of the game. The benefit to you is that we upgrade your books from softcover premium color to hardcover premium color at no extra cost! You are still responsible for additional shipping costs in this scenario, including any additional shipping costs generated by the change in cover type. We will give you details on how this will work if we reach those stretch goals.Last updated:
POD: I have seen other Kickstarters that offer "at-cost POD printing" coupons for print backers. Is this what you're offering?
No. When you select a pledge level that includes a printed book, you're already paying for the book, and should not expect to pay more for the book itself. The only additional cost will be shipping. I am still figuring out what the most convenient way to collect shipping is, more info in the shipping question below.Last updated:
DriveThruRPG has printing facilities in the US and the UK, so shipping will consider the best applicable rate for you. Shipping in the Americas runs between $5-$10 per unit, depending on whether it’s soft- or hardcover, and what country you live in. Shipping to Europe or Australia should range between $6-$12 per unit, again depending. These are ESTIMATED shipping charges.
Regarding HOW you will pay shipping: After the KS ends I will contact backers who requested printed products, giving them instructions on how to pay for shipping. I am still figuring out if it's better for me to collect the shipping for you, or for me to redirect you to pay shipping directly to DTRPG. You'll get those details after the KS.
In all cases, you're only responsible for paying shipping.
For Epsilon-Level Officer backers, please note that the books and map will be printed in different facilities, so you will need to pay separate shipping for both items.Last updated:

I noticed you're offering PDF battlemaps for specific events in the campaign for all backers, even player-only backers. Why is that?
Someone who is a player in Seven Worlds might also be a GM running a different game, so at-scale battlemaps are always useful to everyone. We trust players to be careful and avoid spoiling the game for themselves by peeking at the maps if they are not going to GM the campaign.Last updated:
Although Seven Worlds has gone the extra mile to be very realistic (and the game has an Atomic Rockets Seal of Approval for Scientific Accuracy to back that up!), in the name of Fun bent science a bit in three major areas: FTL (because you have to have faster-than-light travel in an interstellar game!); more earth-like planets than are theoretically feasible (because the player must have somewhere to go to); and Psionic powers, or "powers of the mind." In all cases we have given an explanation that goes with the setting and helps players integrate these features into the game's setting. For example, in the case of psionics the game includes sidebars explaining the advances and ideas around ESP and telekinesis. And there are special Savage Worlds rules that make psionic powers more grounded. All in all, it's a great way to integrate components that make RPGs fun, while at the same time keeping things as realistic as possible for everyone.Last updated:
