If you thought Halloween and pumpkin carving was fun before...wait until you discover the magic that lies just beneath the rind. Get ready to unlock the 3D potential!
I plan on creating a set of DVD's that will benefit ANYBODY looking to become a better pumpkin carver! As a former kindergarten-12 Art teacher, I intend on including a couple of tutorials geared towards those individuals whom find even cutting triangles into a pumpkin challenging. Armed with some simple kid friendly tools (which can be easily purchased at stores for for just a couple of dollars) we will start off with some simple bare bone designs that begin to touch on the joys of going 3D! 3D carved pumpkins tend to look much more animated and alive when compared to your traditional flat jack-o-lanterns. However we won't stop there. I'll kick it up a notch and walk everyone through the fundamental basics of carving a realistic face onto a pumpkin. You'll be astonished as to what you can achieve when given the proper guidance on how to approach carving a pumpkin. If you are already an accomplished sculptor or artist ...then you definitely need to get this DVD so that you can begin to discover just how fun it is to create some mind boggling, over the top pumpkins! Rather than spending years trying to learn the do's and don'ts of pumpkin carving, I'll let you in on all the important facts that I've learned in over a decade of carving. What pumpkins to grab and what ones not to waste your time on. I'll show you how to gage the thickness of a pumpkin , as well as tricks on how to carve to within a hairs thickness of the center without breaking through. Because pumpkin carving is a totally subtractive process, I'll carefully lay out the proper approach that's needed to ensure success, thus saving you years on trial and error.
And in order to add to the viewing pleasure, I plan on including a complete slide show of all my carvings,(including some pumpkin photos that will be exclusive to the video) as well as a couple of fascinating time lapse animations showing the emergance of a carved face (without hands and tools being in the footage). A worth while purchase even if you don't want to carve but rather just watch and enjoy while several pumpkins are being created. Pretend I'm Bob Ross and that I'm dead set on making some not so happy little pumpkins.
Successful funding of this project will allow me to take off of work in early Fall to focus on shooting footage and having the videos professionally edited and packaged all in time for a potential shipping date of early October.

Life is good for some pumpkins
...not so good for these Siamese Pumpkins!
This guy can't seem to get enough pumpkins!
...a CANNIBAL!!!
This guy is such a LIAR!!!He has no idea what happened to the candy,...really???
This guy is just pissed because he doesn't get the respect that he deserves, Technically he's not a "pumpkin"!
...and this Jamacian Root Beet could care less what he is..."don't worry, be happy"
Not "worrying" until he realizes that he has been dug up, drying out and getting thirstier than a case of cottonmouth after a night of partying!
If this guy keeps sweating, he is going to be in the same boat as his Jamaican friend!
The helmet isn't going to protect this guy from rotting in a week, but if it gives him a false sense of security so be it!
Nordic Viking...really?? It says right there that you were born clear on the other side of the planet!...a Kiwi!
Who knew you could braid pumpkin?
This guy wonders when and if he'll be able to sink his fingers into the ground again.
He's a little bit odd...not the type of guy who blends in real well.
A pounding headache sucks!
...but it sure is better than an Exploding Headache!
