Hello Knit 4 Lifers!

Hope everyone's having a great holiday season! We're home for the holidays and missing our friends in Ifugao. So we were so happy when one of our friends, Ivan Madeira, visited our Philippine workshop and put together a short video featuring our knitters! Here's the link, along with a 20% off holiday offer for you and your friends to round out your gift lists:

Your support made Ricefield Collective a reality and we hope to continue helping indigenous families in the Philippines stay with their community on their ancestral land. Buying gifts from us and spreading the word with your friends and loved ones helps ensure that we will bring you awesome knits that make a difference for years to come.

Happy holidays!

Help Us Help the Victims of Typhoon Haiyan

Hello everyone.

First of all, our knitters are all right. They live far to the north and the typhoon hit the central part of the Philippines. The roads were impassable for several days but there were no major injuries.

For those of you who haven't heard, one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the Philippines occurred over the weekend, as Super Typhoon Haiyan swept through coastal regions and displaced hundreds of thousands of people. Haiyan was significantly stronger than both Sandy and Katrina. In an area without updated infrastructure, it has caused extensive damage and loss of life.

We've decided to donate 10% of all our sales to local relief organizations in the region. Because we have extensive contacts and staff members in the Philippines, we're able to give money directly to locals that we trust, which will hopefully maximize the impact of our donation. If you're planning to give holiday presents, please consider giving ones that help disaster victims in the Philippines get back on their feet. Here's the link to our products:

With hope,

Hello Knit 4 Lifers!

We still have rewards to take care of like our e-book and lost addresses, but we're pretty much done with the shipping part of our Kickstarter project! We've been incredibly moved by the words and pictures of those of you who've already received your rewards.

If you're happy with our work, please take a minute to click on this link, and encourage your friends to get our products. We're offering a $5 discount to our backers and their friends, *and* we're shipping new orders in new colors starting tomorrow!

And please keep taking pictures because we're launching a fun giveaway next week, where we'll be giving out prizes to the cutest pictures of people wearing our products! We leave you with some of our first backer pictures from this week! Seeing your faces and hearing your words makes us love the work we do even more.

With enormous gratitude,
Meredith & Ricefield Collective

P.S. If you got all the way down here, here's the link to share our site again so you don't have to go back up. ;)
