Welcome To Elk Mountain
What's it about?
Our story follows Valor, whose family escaped persecution in Panama in the 80's to come to America. Fearing government retribution, his parents fled back to South America right after he was born, leaving him behind.
Valor grew to be the world's mightiest superhero and defender of his small town of Elk Mountain, but irrational fears surrounding immigrants begin to turn the town against him. On top of that, Valor is struggling with what he can do as immigrants continue to be rounded up, separated, and detained.
Elk Mountain is a look at how the current climate of fear surrounding immigration can break apart a community in an instant. Fear of the other can turn long time neighbors against each other, in this case, a small town on it's hero. Is it possible to heal these rifts?

Risks and challenges
Everyone working on this project is a professional comics person, with experience with meeting deadlines, however such with anything in life, things happen. People get sick, have personal emergencies, printers get backed up, etc. If anything of this sort does happen, we'll be sure to inform backers as soon as we know, but hopefully it's smooth sailing and we get this book in your hands ASAP.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
