About
Funds are being sought to push the sci-fi action film project CYBER HUNT® into high-gear!
I'm producer of a science fiction film - Cyber Hunt - currently in development. A production team is already in place (complete with a director - David Winning). But in order to kick the larger film into high gear, I need funding to produce a short film of the concept for investors. And that's where I need your help.
Cyber Hunt is a near-future technothriller set in a high-tech Detroit where a computer virus infects people and an artificial intelligence is gaining strength and dominance. It follows the adventures of cyber-security operatives in a future time just around the corner where brain implants, man-machine interfaces, supercomputers, nanotechnology, and cyberwarfare are an everyday reality. In addition, there's a Native American component that addresses the themes of nature vs. technology in a digital world, making Cyber Hunt as much a spiritual adventure as an action-packed one.

Director David Winning's sci-fi credits include Stargate Atlantis, Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, Dinotopia, and Lost Girl. IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003941/
I'm filling out the team with cinematographer Keith Jefferies (Naked Angel, Felix Graves) and Fred Gannod (S.W.A.T.: Firefight Art Department), who will be Production Designer on my film, both of whom I worked with previously on the short "Raised Alone" (an award-winning film-festival entry which screened internationally).
Join the Cyber Hunt team - get the word out by posting this page on any social networking site you're a member of. Blog about it, tweet about it, whatever you can do to help us jump-start our film. It would be most appreciated!
And while a DVD and download are being offered to bigger contributors, a link to see the finished short will be available to all backers.

Risks and challenges
The challenge is to create a compelling film rich in imagination that will increase interest in this science fiction universe and in these concepts.
Know that it's going to take a year or two (extensive editing and visual effects are involved) but we're fully committed to staying on focus and seeing this become an exciting and visually impressive production.
Lessening the risks of making a film is a lot easier when you already have an accomplished director on board. Having an impressive career that has been honored with over 70 awards, director David Winning is waiting in the wings to helm the film and will be taking this project to a level of completion that will simply blow people away. He will get the job done regardless of any set-backs. Plus, he understands sci-fi because he's already been established in the genre for 30+ years.
All money raised will go toward production costs and securing a couple of name actors. Keep in mind that you're only charged if we meet our funding goal. If this campaign is successful, you'll be helping make a longtime dream come true - one that features Native American/First Nations people in principal, lead roles, a portrayal of which is something we'd very much like to see more of in popular media.
We ultimately want to make this film because we have a relevant and exciting story to tell of the future and of technology that we very much want to share. Even though it's a fantastic sci-fi adventure and a challenging concept, everyone from the screenwriters up to the director and producers thinks it has tremendous potential to explore the themes of personal technology and societal disconnect. THE BEST SCIENCE FICTION MAKES YOU THINK.
