Physical Art Book

Since the question has been asked, we would like to let everyone know that we are going to be aiming to make the physical Cosmic Star Heroine art book a high quality product that any gaming fan would be happy to have on their shelf. We won't have a page count until the game is finished, but we won't be skimping on quality or quantity. Full-color, hardcover, lots of content (including some smaller sections that cover our previous games), etc. Plus all physical art books obtained through the Kickstarter will be signed.

@Zeboyd Games: No worries about the price--it is your campaign and you are fully entitled to price all items whatever you want. The price just looked a bit off to me and I wanted to make sure I was not misreading the options list and missing out ;)

Since the Kickstarter has already reached its goal, we thought it would be more productive if we spent our time working on making the game rather than trying to drum up even more money. So we're making sprites, designing abilities, fleshing out the story & scenarios, etc. We are trying to finalize some cool stuff to talk about later, but we'll save that for the last few days of the campaign when it actually makes sense to do one final big push.

@Teamweaver- I mean no harm whatsoever. I love this project! I just want this campaign to receive as many funds and backers as humanely possible!

Zeboyd Games even said they made a mistake with the pricing of the art book and price gap between several tiers. The addition of new tiers would be welcome to newcomers and early backers alike to help jumpstart this campaign...

However, Pricing and staggering tiers on kickstarter is an art. If you don't do so, at least semi mindfully- your kickstarter will grind or stall to a halt or at the worst, crash and burn and not reach it's funding goal.

You shouldn't pander to every backers every whim- but, you shouldn't ignore their input entirely.

I'm sorry if I come off harsh or entitled-that's not my intention- but a lot of backers are wondering why there is so much ''radio silence'' from the creative team at Zeboyd when the kickstarter campaign has all but frozen over as a result of these oversights...

      Cheers.

I'm not personally interested in the art book but I would plop down $350 for a physical box with game manual and I'm sure there are a lot more like me out there. Consider adding it as an option and watch the numbers go up :)

Just because you're used to an artbook being a particular range doesn't mean other campaigns must conform to it. Not every book has the same contents. It's not about you.

That's far too much-even when considered as a generous donation towards the game's development. $250 is the highest price i've seen for a physical hardcopy of any art book on kickstarter. It was hardcover and signed by Keiji Inafune. They can range from $100 + onwards

It seems this stubborn viewpoint from the creative team is the exact thing keeping more people for pledging more money to this game.

I want to support the project more-by pledging for a physical art book for example- I'm at a lower tier $40. New tiers need to be added to provide further incentives for people to pledge higher not lower.

Allow reasonable add ons at reasonable costs and your funding will actually grow instead of grinding to a halt as it has at this point...

Well that couldn't change it now if they wanted to because there is that ONE backer on there.

If it were in the 100-125 range I'd seriously consider it but 350 is just to much. Since all I would gain is pretty much a few posters and a shirt aswell to up 300+.

@Anton, Keep in mind that the bulk of the money donated is supposed to go towards developing the game. The art book is supposed to be a nice collector's item for people who want to donate a large sum of money to the game's development.

That's exciting news, but is the art book really $350???
