Extra Copy Add-On Option! Steam and DRM-Free together!

Hi everyone!

We would like to clarify how selecting your version of the game will work.

After the kickstarter ends, everyone who gets a digital copy of the game will be sent a survey to find out which version (or versions if they've earned more than 1) they would like. You can choose between...

Console Version - Get a digital copy of the game for the PS4 AND Vita (the game will be cross-buy so buy once, get both versions)

Computer Version - Get a digital copy of the game for Windows AND Mac. Backers who choose this option will get both a Steam code AND a separate code for a DRM-free version of the game. This is an improvement from our original plan where you had to choose between the two.

In addition to this improvement, we've also added the opportunity for backers to add additional digital copies of the game to their rewards (beyond the second copy you get at the $40 tier) by adding an extra $10 per copy to the reward tier they've chosen. Note, due to a limited number of PSN codes, there is a limit of 2 copies of the console version per backer total (this including copies gained through the $10 & $40 tiers). There is no limit on how many copies of the computer version a backer can request.

@Nakano: Well, I already have a US account. So I should be fine then. :-) Thanks for the information.

@John We would like to release the game on the Wii U & Xbox One at some point but those ports would have to wait until the initial release. PC/Mac/PS4/Vita all at once is stressful enough! :)

Are you guys considering expanding to the Wii U at any point? It seems like it'd be a good console to make the game available on. They have a surprising number of Indie titles on their already, and there are plenty more on the way as well.

    4. Nakano on October 5, 2013

@Marcel Oh you're from Switzerland. Then I guess you'll have to wait further information or choose the PC version. The code may theoretically work with PS4 if you create an US account, but I don't know if PS4 allows this. It's technically possible on PS3. On the other hand, from my understanding, Vita is single account locked.

    5. Nakano on October 5, 2013

@Marcel You're an US backer? They will send the code (at the moment only working with US PSN, but they're looking for a solution). You use that code to redeem the game. Through survey they will ask which version you pledged for.

    6. Marcel Schoen on October 5, 2013

As a backer you already paid, I don't want to have to buy it again on PSN. So how do I get my Vita / PS4 versions? Will you send out redemption codes?

You lovable bastiches (I mean that in a good way), as soon as I saw someone mention this and a new game from Zeboyd I knew I had to pledge.

I own all of your games solely on playing the trial for Cthulhu Saves the World. (best 10 minute trial ever) Honest, I haven't played any of the others, I just bought them on that game alone....weird huh? But on the upside I backed this project on those same merits, so you're doing something right or I just like giving you money for games I've never played yet (I might have to rethink these decisions one day) but I'm psyched for this new game and can't wait for it to come out.

Keep up the retro-RPG love and I'll keep buying and one day I might actually get time to play some of them...I hope.

This game looks like it's just going to be a blast to experience.

Nice. I was going to pick the PS4 and Vita versions for my 2 copies, but now I'll just get the PSN and PC versions both.

    11. Tim Van Holder on October 4, 2013

Excellent - will make use of that once EU PSN support is confirmed.

      Cross buy is awesome!

@Will We currently only have a contract with SCEA but we will try to make the Vita/PS4 release worldwide.

      Cool, like your professional approach!

Will you be releasing on the Japanese PSN store? I'd love to play this on VITA, but my PSN account is a Japanese PSN account.

    16. Zeboyd Games Creator on October 4, 2013

@Adam You can use the $10 add-on at any tier (although it wouldn't make any sense to use it at the $1 tier). I'll change the main page to indicate that.

I have a question for a bit of clarification... is the additional $10 per copy only limited to the $40 and up rewards? Or can I take my $10 reward, and add $10 to get a second copy of the game if I'm not interested in the other extras (for example, I already have copies of all your previous games)?

It says PC/Mac/PS4/Vita right in the title. And they do have a FAQ entry.

    19. Brandon on October 4, 2013

It's always said PS4/Vita. This will be my first PS4 game for sure. Great to hear that it's cross buy. Thanks!

    20. Johnny Jones on October 4, 2013

      Cross-buy! Yes!

      What about cross-save?

    21. TheChosenOne on October 4, 2013

You guys have a FAQ. Use it. Not everyone reads through the updates when they decide to become a backer. Certainly not when there are/will be 10-20 updates.

@Chris pretty sure it was never announced for PS3.

As for this update: neat! Will definitely look into backing multiple copies.

    23. Zeboyd Games Creator on October 4, 2013

The game isn't coming out on PS3.

    24. Chris Bustamante on October 4, 2013

No PS3 version? Or was that just a mistype? I sure hope it was...
