What is Out of the Box?
Out of the Box is the brain baby of artists Kristin Malko and Rose Rossi, college friends who reconnected over pregnancy, childbirth, and the chaos that disrupts every. single. thing. Sometimes raunchy, sometimes brutal, always honest, Out of the Box takes an edgy and hilarious look at the darker side of motherhood as Annie and Gretal fight against the elements, their bodies, and sometimes each other, all in the name of sanity.
The World Needs Out of the Box
One of the biggest misconceptions about becoming a mom is that you can be "ready." As time went on and their babies grew, Kristin and Rose both realized that the lack of transparency in media contributed to the feeling of complete unpreparedness. There are no TV shows or films out there that clue modern women into what motherhood is really like: good, bad, and ugly. There're the changes to your body, to your social circle, to your sex life, but also to your confidence. No matter what you do, you feel like you're doing it wrong.
There needs to be something out there that shows how impossible it is to live up to the superwoman status celebrated in Lifetime movies, network television, and mini-van commercials... and that it's totally okay! It takes humor and grace to get through each day, and this is what Out of the Box explores in 2-3 minute episodes so you can watch them in the bathroom, while breastfeeding, while pumping... Anytime you need to relate to another mom trying to break out of the same mommy box you're in, Out of the Box is there for you.

Risks and challenges
We believe strongly in the importance of community, especially when it comes to new moms, dads, and guardians who find themselves solely responsible for a tiny person's future and well-being. While we know others feel the same way, it's also a reality that countless other projects exist on the Internet, all vying for prominence in the digital landscape... and quality is the deciding factor.
With your contributions, we will be able to secure talent, skill, and connections that aren't currently in our friend circles, giving us the chance to elevate the project as a whole and reach every parent out there who wants to relate, escape, and just laugh once in a while.
Every donation will go toward making Out of the Box the best, honest, high-quality series about motherhood to ever exist... we just need to make sure we raise the money to pay everyone and rent everything.
So we enthusiastically ask you to share, comment, donate, and help us create some damn funny comedy that helps moms everywhere break Out of the Box!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
