No Rest for the Takers

If this KS were a Red Markets job, it seems our crew rolled a critical success. Again, I can’t thank everyone enough for the generosity. Keep spreading the word!

With Trabajo unlocked, Red Markets is now a pick-up-and-play game. Use the pregen enclave to get your gaming group hooked, then reel them in as you use the rules to make your own campaign setting.

What’s Next?

As I stated in the last update, “Best Practices” is a combination setting chapter/protips strategy guide that gets added to everyone’s books. I’m excited for this one because it adds to the game’s fiction, and everyone should be excited for the added value put in the product.

New Stretch Goal Revealed: La Corbusier

Like Trabajo, we provide a fleshed-out enclave with six pregen contracts ready to play, set in the only surviving architectural college in the Loss. Named after the Brutalist architect who defined the industrial aesthetic that saved the resident’s lives, the La Corbusier PDF is the flip-side of the themes in Trabajo: what happens when the privileged use their status to survive? Can they build a harmonious new society, or will they just create a new underclass to exploit?

If you’re already well-versed in “The Brutalists” campaign on RPPR (where La Corbusier premiered), have no fear. There will be no repeat contracts from the AP campaign. For every job a crew takes, there are two more that go without bids. Your home group can play a rival crew competing with the Brutalists, or you can compose a completely alternate history out of surprising, never-seen-before contracts.

If we unlock this goal, everyone at Ubiq level and above gets a PDF of Trabajo AND La Corbusier in addition to all previously promised rewards.

Social Bounty Update

Many of you have been asking how we’ve been doing on social stretch goals. I’ll be posting updates in…well…the updates. Here’s where we stand as of now:

  • We added 131 people to the Facebook group
  • We added 72 to our G+ community
  • I have 34 new followers on Twitter
  • #RedMarkets has been retweeted 20 times since this morning
  • The subreddit enclave has 33 new survivors
  • We’ve gotten 2 blog posts for 200 Bounty total
  • We’ve scheduled 2 more podcast interviews for 400 bounty total
  • For a total of…890 Social Bounty.

Getting close to the playmate! Keep it up!

Thank you so much for your continued support. I’m glad you’re all behind me in this effort to make Red Markets the best game it can be.

"Although, you could say that "enclave" being a female noun, you could "technically" call it "LA Corbusier" by referring to the "enclave" itself and not the Corbusier proper noun.
Yea. French. It's a pain even when it's your first language...."

Yep. That's totally what I meant to do. Definitely wasn't a stupid mistake on my part. No way. I've definitely thought of everything.

      @Christoph

There's bounty for both, but we only had 2-3 members in each when I launched the campaign yesterday.

Is there no bounty for those who were members of the G+ or facebook group before it started?

I'm going to back Tobias on this and be the second pain in the bum guy to say... yea... it's "Le" Corbusier. But then again, you can just throw out French grammar out the window and just go with "La". I mean, I'm sure we aren't that many francophones around, so we shouldn't moan too much :P

I hate to be the one to "well actually" here, but I think it's *LE* Corbusier, not La Corbusier. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Corbusier

PS GRATS on the successful Kickstarter campaign!
