First off, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has pledged so far. We're so blessed to have such amazing family, friends, and fans! We have been busy putting things into place to get the show ready (and of course practicing all the old songs!) We're still taking pledges above our original goal so if you haven't pledged yet, you still can! All of the money will go straight to this project and making it the most epic, amazing show we can. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I don't remember when we started. Like most bands we had trouble picking a name. But then one day we found a batch of discarded girls high school soccer team shirts at a Goodwill from Greenwood high school. We bought all of them for a dollar a piece, named our band "greenwood" and then sold them at a show we had coming up for $5 a pop. On May 16, 2002 we recorded our first album in the chapel of Union University. We played all the tracks live and mixed them down in real time. I only remember that date because we named the CD 5.16.02 (Clearly, we are not good at naming things). Somewhere between then and 2007 when we played our last show we moved to Maryland, toured a bunch, released a proper studio album, and changed our name to Hope Dialect.
Well it's been 10 years since we recorded that first album. We've got kids and jobs and lives but we still miss the rock. And if Jay-Z was right and 30's the new 20, maybe we can pull this off.
Zombie Hope Dialect. In Tennessee. This August.
If we get the backing I promise you we will rock your faces off. You guys were so good to us those years we were playing and we think you might still be out there. You've moved on to other bands, we get it, but then this morning you saw something on facebook, or twitter, or your friend was like hey - go check this out. Then you clicked a link and now you're here. Don't let us just be somebody that you used to know. (Super Timely Gotye Reference!) Let's all get back together, hang out, high five, and have the most awesome rock show ever.
The money will go toward renting:
- some vans to get Art, Allan, and Jesse's families (Wives plus 2 kids apiece!) + gear to Tennessee.
- a venue.
- equipment to capture a multi-track live recording (Like 10,000x better than Crook12)
- equipment to produce a decent live video
Some money will probably go to gas and food as well. We're not looking to make any money off of this so any funding over 100% will go to enhance the experience (better venue/equipment/pyrotechnics...) If we hit our goal early we'll brainstorm and let you guys know what to expect!
We love you guys - see you soon.
