i don't even know how to explain this really. but today my wife and i lost our oldest fuzzy face child. " talullah"
she was my best friend/fuzzy daughter/sometimes big fuzzy pain in my ass for almost 8 years, some of you may have even met her on tour with reggie. words cant describe how much we will miss her fuzzy face. she was a source of happiness and inspiration to me and my music. as she used to sit underneath my piano while i composed. hang out at band practice and wait to go swimming with all of us and eat hot dogs. ( she didn't like the veggie dogs)
she was my companion in the long drive to lawrence to record no country for old musicians. and got sick while we were in final tracking so i rushed her back to long island to her vet where we began this battle with an infection in her liver that she fought all summer.
in celebration of lu's life i want to share the song i wrote about talullah from the new record. its called "gimme back my leg"
she was an amazing bulldog, and i will miss her for the rest of my life. but her memory will live on with the song and of course all the amazing photos that myself, my wife, my family and all the friends and fans have taken over the last 8 years.
i really hope you all enjoy the song.
we will miss you Lulu,
just wanted to let you know that the record is officially done and mixed!!! i love it! just enough old and just enough new and just enough weird to fit nicely in your reggie collections.
sending off to get mastered very soon, merch is coming along, any of you coming to riotfest, i will be at the merch table selling a special riot fest only reggie shirt with a nod to my love for siouxsie and the banshees.
