Overtime Rush is an original tower defense game with never-ending waves of monsters combined with time stop and rewind feature. You can master your skills and play each of many unique levels virtually indefinitely. Compete with Facebook friends and beat their high scores. The beauty of Overtime Rush is that you do not need to learn about strategy. The fun will always be there, but once you come up with some tactic ideas and master your spell skills you will improve your scores greatly.
Overtime Rush features:
- tower defense enhanced with never-ending waves of monsters and heavy use of spells:
- Unique set of monsters. Each monster differs by health points, speed, immunity to weapons, reward for the kill, and special skills. Wave after wave monsters grow stronger:
Goblins are weak and sneaky enemies which attack in groups only. Very easy to kill with pretty much everything. All weapons are effective but sniper towers.
Orcs are generally better armed and bigger than goblins. They lack courage and usually attack in small groups or are accompanied by other monsters. All weapons are equally good to fight them.
Trolls are huge and slow with lots of health points. Try hitting trolls with lightning towers and they will not feel a thing. Use sniper towers to crush them.
Shaman heals himself and the nearby units with his powerful magic. Eliminate him first.
Berserkers usually attack in small groups trying to gain speed, penetrate your defense and score from a distance. Combine ice towers with cannon or lightning towers to stop them.
Vampires can turn into bats and quickly fly over the field making it difficult to fight them with mines. But they become easy targets for sniper towers once they are vampires again. Use ice towers and snow storm spell to win some time.
Werewolves run fast and bite hard. Werewolves attack in large groups only making them deadly dangerous.
Skeletons are weak and easy to kill. They usually appear near cemeteries followed by vampires and werewolves. They are difficult targets for sniper towers. Lightning tower is the best choice for getting rid of skeletons.
Skeleton warriors are much stronger than regular skeletons. They wear armor against lightning towers. Other towers will do just fine.
Skeleton king is slow and extremely dangerous. Use heavy sniper towers to lay him down.
Ghosts appear on levels with cemeteries. Once you kill a skeleton, its ghost appears in the cemetery. All ghosts are mine immune. Skeleton Ghosts are weak units which could be easily destroyed by lightning towers. Sniper towers might have problems hitting them at all.
Warrior ghosts are a little bit stronger than regular ones. Get more coins for their heads.
Skeleton king ghost is strongest of the ghosts can take three lives. Sniper towers are out of use, and so are mines. This ghost can hit you hard when you start thinking that you have beaten all the skeletons.
Yeti is enormously large and almost invincible. Do not be deceived by his slowness. He will walk through the field like a tank. Build smart, upgrade sniper towers and hope for the best. Good spell choice will be a good help too.
Imps are sly and weak. You will see a lot of them rushing to the base. All weapons are good but sniper towers.
Fire imps are too tiny for sniper towers, phenomenally quick and aggressive. Slow them down with ice towers before they reach shooting distance.
Demons are difficult to kill with lots of stamina and ferocity they have. Powerful warriors usually attack in small groups. Use everything you’ve got to hunt them down, but remember that they have protection against lightning towers.
Belphegor is a legendary commander of hell hordes. Enormously powerful demon surrounded by his armies will break through your forces as if you have none.
Satan himself is the ruler of the Underworld. The field is too small for him. You feel how his slow footsteps shake your towers. Waste money on lightning towers or on some useless spells and you are out of luck. Keep strategy in mind when planning your towers, master your spells and then you will have hope.
- Upgradable towers are at your disposal. Pick weapons thoughtfully and have no mercy for your enemies:
Lightning tower causes continuous but little damage. It’s useful against a large number of monsters with low health points. Or you can use it in the end of the field for finishing off the injured and the weak.
Cannon tower hurls huge shots in the approximate direction of the enemy. It hits quite a large space but the power of its shots is medium. It’s effective against the large groups of monsters.
Sniper tower fires rarely but if it does it smashes the goal. It’s extremely effective against monsters with high health points. However nimble on feet monsters can dodge a shot.
Ice tower creates icy storm making monsters move slowly wrapping up into fur coats.
- Variety of deadly spells. Upgrade spells and try different combinations for better results:
Bomb placed on the map is waiting its fuse to burn down before it explodes. Try its effect against large crowds of enemies.
Blizzard will hinder monsters’ movements in the chosen area. Quick monsters hate to be frozen.
Mine will explode after some unsuspicious monster treads right on it.
Curse creates a poisonous cloud, which surrounds monsters, exhausts their lives and attacks their armor making them vulnerable to any type of weapon.
Rage. The power of any tower will be instantly increased. Towers will function as they used to but with much more rage.
Kamikaze. Put a dynamite on your enemy. The monster starts running faster and blows up after a few seconds damaging nearby monsters. Heavy monsters will not let fool themselves.
In every battle you can use only three spells at a time. Your tactics will depend on this choice. Towers and spells can be strengthened by the gold earned for the kills. Combination of towers’ shots and spells create combos, for which you will get extra points and rewards.

We have been working on Overtime Rush for 2 years. Right now, gameplay, level design, and all other parts of the game are 90% ready. We have a beta version which is available for testing.
Sadly, as it often happens with game and software projects, we need more time and money to have it completed.
We need minimum of $18,000 and about two months to finish the remaining tasks. With your generosity and support we will be able to have the game completed. The funds will be used to:
- hire an artist to design several forms, which are not ready
- tune up game balance and make each of the levels more interesting for playing
- finish time stop and rewind feature (improve usability and algorithms to make it smooth and fast)
- complete other forms which are not fully ready (high scores, settings, etc.)
- receive beta version feedback and implement improvements based on the feedback
- fix bugs
Of course, we have more ideas in mind. If we raise more than $18,000 we will be able to add more spells, levels and monsters, and make the game even better.
We have been building iOS apps since Day 1 of the App Store. Some of our apps became top 1 overall in several countries around the world. One of our iPad apps (Bills for iPad) remained top 1 overall in the US for several consequent days. We’ve spent last two years passionately working on our first game: Overtime Rush for iPad.
Please spread the word and help us add something new to a tower defense games genre you love. Support us and make the history!
How to get a beta version:
1. Make sure you have an iPad at your disposal.
2. Sign up for Beta by sending us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Receive an invite to register on Testflightapp.com from us and follow the instructions.
Risks and challenges
If you help us to raise the money we need, we will definitely release a beautiful game for your enjoyment. Firstly, most of the hard work is done. We have a strong vision of the finished game and know exactly what to do. We play Overtime Rush every single day because we actually like playing it. Everybody who tries the game already enjoys the art and the gameplay a lot. Secondly, we enjoy the process of creating Overtime Rush immensely. We have already invested 2 years of our time into the project. Thus, completing the project is a question of seeing the results of our hard work. Finally, we are a small team of developers who already have a strong record of creating high quality projects for the App Store (search for “iBear” on the App Store). The only relevant issue could be a delay, since dates and deadlines are always tricky if you care about perfection. At the same time, this is precisely why we are raising money on Kickstarter. The game needs our full devotion before the launch. Please support Overtime Rush and help us make our dream game come true.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
