When I hear the words "Spell Tome" I immediately picture a massive book that thuds on the table as you put it down throwing dust everywhere.... so yeah I would vote with 8.5” x 11” and 100+ pages
I agree, I think the larger size for wizard spellbook is appropriate and the smaller one could be the travelling book size. I would like to see the 100 page size first, followed by the 50 page travelling (which if we do not make the stretch for can be a follow up kickstarter after this one fulfills), and then the extra pages (cause who does not want extra pages)...
I like 8.5” x 11” (the bigger the better -- a magic user's tome should be huge!) with 100 or more pages (nice, thick, parchment-type paper preferred). Increasing the font size to larger point size will help fill up the content, along with larger "pictures" (stuff that looks hand-drawn, or scribbles, not expensive professional artwork).
5.5x8.5 for me. As for page numbers, any.
