NCCR has been broadcasting since October, 2012 online and on the local AM dial. We're excited to announce that on October 26th we applied for an LP FM License!
We have over 20 volunteer DJ's and have had the pleasure of hosting over 100 guest musicians, artists, local business owners, and health care professionals. Please visit our site at: www.northcountrycommunityradio.org
We support all things local and play a wide range of music from around the world.
Nate Alberts started this project because he wanted to offer an alternative to commercial radio to the area he grew up in. The station provides a voice for the community, focusing on local music and local issues.
Nate has given every dime he's made to the station. He has been fortunate to receive some donations and support from underwriters as well, but in order to bring the station to the next level it needs your help!!

Our goal is to raise funds that will help us get the studio equipment we need to increase our live performances and live on-air broadcasts. This includes a real broadcast board, new microphones, stands, cables, merchandise, improved streaming quality, help with monthly bills, and equipment to give us the ability to be mobile and host more live events in the community.
If we were to go over our $8,500 goal, that money would go toward our future FM equipment. We will need to purchase an FM transmitter and antenna (which will cost around $5,000).
Thank you so much for supporting this project.
Risks and challenges
One of the biggest challenges has been being able to stay on top of the monthly bills. These bills are entirely funded by Nate who at the same time is running his painting business in order to afford the station.
How are we qualified to overcome?
Community support and faith in "the little station that could"!
