Come on, 1m! I want to play persistent worlds!!
Congratulations, but it's too late too for me the live stream... i hope it's possible watch it in future... Anyway congratulations :D!!!
Great success ^^
I want 1m it would be great fun
Congratulations guys :D I've been torn between $10 for the base or $30 for beta and well you deserve the $30 :)
Congrats! And here people were saying that we had no chance of making 150k in a day or two! Soooooooooo excited!
$2,000,000 stretch goal: Laser-equipped zombie dolphins!
So happy to see how far this project has come!
What can I say.. Grats... NO wait.. #TOMSHOT
omg, congratulations! You guys have been so incredibly successful! This is so awesome!! DWARVES!!
Diggy diggy hole inc!
Nobody tosses a dwarf....... Congrats guys! Cannot WAIT!!
You had me at dwarves :)
I was going to comment about being able to dig holes now... but someone beat me to it.
So maybe I missed a comment somewhere but are these underground or above-ground dwarven dwellers. Just wondering if this means subterranean areas/building?!
I'm SO damn excited for this game! And now they've added Dwarves?! Things can't get any better! :D
I could be wrong but Tom & Tony will probably only take half pay whilst holidaying in the Bahamas for 9 months of the year :-)
@Robert V Frazier
Laser-equipped zombie dolphins!..........Oooooh Zombie Dolphins.
After 9 months sipping Pina Colada's in the Bahama's, Tom & Tony might be up for Zombie Dolphins DLC....
yay a new race to play with.
This is awesome great job guys. I have one question: How exactly does the Co-op work? As in is it just 2 people can play together or more of a server like system with any number of people on it depending on its capabilities
@Mark Newcombe: They have zombie dolphins in Plants Vs Zombies, but they don't have lasers. :(
Awesome! This is my most anticipated Kickstarter game so far! I will be watching The Hobbit in honor this weekend in honor of reaching the latest stretch goal! :)
congrats all =)
Really excited for this!
I would love to see persistent worlds anyway - Maybe make it a subscription based service (per-month) for the server side software?
For instance, BF3 is per-slot... Yours could be $3-5USD per instance/month?
Congrats on an amazing kickstarter!!
Posted the update on Strategy Informer.
Gratz! Can't wait for the beta
wow, 750k! Thats quite a lot! Good luck with the development, can't wait to try it out! :D
Will the they include Jaffa Cakes?
truly impressive campaign... well done gentlemen, and lady... ;)
Congrats guys, really well done campaign, looking forward to future updates on development, keep up the amazing work!
Awesome work everyone, and @Radiant Entertainment For the 2 week extended Paypal campaign, you will need to put an auto-counter up at the top of the kickstarter page showing how much money is coming in.
Because the numbers being readily available and being able to see the money rise in real time will add to the factor of wanting to add to the total. (Psychology is weird that way)
Also because a lot of people assume this is the end of the campaign, and we cannot be here forever telling people in chat they can still donate with paypal, and i expect it to be true that only a few of the potential donors come to the comments..
Wow. You guys pasted the funding marker ages ago. But £750K!!! Incredible. Made you for you all.
I'm enjoying the videos and am so looking forward to the finished article.
Below should read "I'm made up for you all"
I'm glad that I could be a part of this enterprise.
Congratulations, guys! I'm really glad we made it all the way up to Dwarves. That'll be my race until I figure out how to mod in my own.
Removing Amazon and Kickstarter fees (but including PayPal minus fees) we're probably looking at $718k that will make their bank account.
Tom & Tony arguably deserve to get paid for all the work they've already put in the game to get it to alpha state, as well as need a salary to finish the game. And there are two main developers currently, not one. So while this is enough for 8 years of one person's salary, it could be seen as enough to pay 8 developers for one year. They may need to hire up to add in all the stretch goals and still deliver on time.
And don't forget business expenses.
Yeah, I can understand they should be paid for pre-work, of course, but it would be interesting to see how many are going to be involved. Are we looking at four developers, five, six? The project is estimated to last until September 2014 (looking at estimated delivery), and then some to fulfill the Dwarf race. That's about 1,5 years give or take. That's still 6 well-paid developers for one and half year. As I said, I don't really know of all the business expenses and the costs of actual development, but it would be nice to see some sort of division of the funding available.
It's probably a late request, but can't we make the rabbit faction hostile? - Signed, Aussie.
Congratz guys! I hope you didnt add to much strech goals, so the game won't take decades to make, good luck!!
Funding is completed. If they allow future PayPal pledges to count towards the final million dollar goal *maybe* that could happen, but I doubt it. Other than Star Citizen, I haven't seen another projects get tons of funding after the Kickstarter campaign ended. And that goal is a post-release goal. So there won't be additional stretch goals delaying release.
