Hey Everyone, we are both thrilled and humbled by your tremendous show of support for Stonehearth. (And yes, Amazon Flexible Payments is working again!) Thank you again.

Since it looks like we're pretty close to getting funded, here are our first few stretch goals! We'll add more as we work out the technical details:

      Co-Op happened!

    2. cody deboer on

This game is going to be fun, no doubt. I would have to say though, if the co-op happens, this game will be my most looked forward to games, hands down. My buddy and i have already started talking about cool module ideas, and what we would do to combat them and survive!

I have no doubt we'll reach all the stretch goals shown so far given how funding has gone. I'd expect the final funding amount to be somewhere in the range of $350k-$500k, given the trends I've seen with other successful Kickstarters. Of course, Paypal funding would make it more.

Less linux and mac support and more multiplayer/coop support! I hope that makes it into eventual stretch goals.

    5. croma25td on

If we reach the 200K stretch goal (and I hope so) the beta will be compatible with Linux/Mac?

    6. y2bcrazy on

and i just bumped myself to 30$, hoping further stretch goals to be awesome...i know they'll get to 200k, in 2 days they pretty much reached their goal, they'll be fine :D you guys can do it!! this game is awesome, original and very cute. it is realistic (in ideals) and feasible :D, i'm so excited to play this

    7. Alex Schulz on

i want to make this game available to everyone on every PC system. help me by spreading the word of StoneHearth to every gamer, strategist, and PC lover. 28 days left and only 20,000 dollars to go, so close.

    8. Jason Carl Ruddy on

Come on Mac stretch goal! I can play this on the PC, but I'd much rather on Mac, since I have more of those. ;)

Happy to see that the support is coming along so well, so far. がんばろう‼

    9. gandalf.nho

      Liked the glacier biome idea

    10. Fox Potter on

Man, just make the Rabbit Clan a playable race lol

    11. Michael on

I hope the rabbit clan comes with a rabbit companion. I would really like a rabbit companion....

    12. Phillip Phoelich on

The first stretch goal is not that interesting, but all the others seem quite nice!
And the linux/mac ports as strech goals usually gives a boost in backing.

I personally hope to see the coop functionality implemented :)

      Good luck with the Kickstarter!

Ooh, a glacier biome. Very cool. That is something I would like to see implemented. Personally I think it fairly likely that the currently listed stretch goals are reached.

I really don't need a rhino-pet. I just want you to focus on making an awesome game, not silly pets.

Could one of the devs comment on the individual unit micro? I'm not expecting it to be like Starcraft, but will commands be responsive enough so I could make a mod that requires fast paced movement and combat?

    16. Torolf - Alchemist of the Obsidian Order on

Edit: should read "to give them a breather," not bugger (Been rereading Ender's Game)

    17. Torolf - Alchemist of the Obsidian Order on

@David: This is just a guess on my part, but I'm thinking that the first stretch goal past funding is to give a bugger. The failure rate on backers is sometimes 25% or higher, and that will give them a bit of breathing room for such things. We wouldn't want the project to fail after it had been declared officially "funded" because too many people had credit card problems, would we?

    18. Martin Nicolas on

I'd like to echo Nick Hanson's comment about that "Friendly Faction: Rabbit Clan". There are little rabbits in the videos - how would that faction fit in? I'd prefer those animal rabbits over the Rabbit Clan any time. Being able to tame those small ones might work too.
      Thumbs up for "subterranian".

    19. LordMatsu on

@David I agree too. But all I care about is co-op.... I hope it's an obtainable goal :/ I'm not much of a single player gamer.

    20. David on

I'm definitely no expert on coding or game-making, but I find the first stretch goal a bit... I don't know, meagre? Great to get a nice little companion and a good addition, but will it take $20.000 worth of time and coding to implement it? The other stretch goals seem to be a bit more expansive.

Again, I have no idea on how much time such an addition actually takes. Don't even know the monthly salary of a game programmer. Would just be interesting to know the time-plan for such a project.

    21. Jon M on

Congratulations on the massive success, great to see that so many have seen the potential here and maybe smelt a bit of nostalgia to the charming RTS games of old.

Delighted to hear about the Mac version should we get to the stretch goal as on my rmbp would be my ideal way of playing!

      All the best.

    22. Jeroen Ruigrok van der Werven on

For what it is worth: I for one will welcome our bunny overlords!

    23. Scott Friebel on

The stretch goals look awesome! I am interested, as @Nick Hanson pointed out, in the subterranian aspect. I would love to be able to tunnel/mine as well!

      David Henson on

Any chance of an early object creator tool for backers? ;)

    25. Chris Cannon on

      @Stian Berger
Don't know if you'll have to buy both, but they posted on the main comments a little while ago that every tier $30 and up will get 2 digital downloads.

    26. Radiant Entertainment Creator on

@Stian You'll just need to buy the game once.

    27. Radiant Entertainment Creator on

@David Yup! People should be able to add their own clans and factions using the mod system. It's how we'll build the Rabbit Clan, in fact.

    28. Missing avatar

      Tiedemann on

Do we need to buy a Linux version if we want both win/lin?

    29. Missing avatar

      David Henson on

Is the Rabbit Clan an example of what WE could mod ourselves once it's released?

    30. James Wood on

Better get that Linux/Mac port on the go, because you're gonna fly past 200k at this rate!

Maybe a later stretch goal for Ouya support?

    31. Erich Zann

We need to have a ferret pet too. I would gladly give up my kitten or puppy for a ferret.

    32. Missing avatar

      Justin Malesker on

Just backed... Really hoping for multiplayer.

    33. Steve Adamo on

these stretch goals are a perfect fit for the theme of the game... cant wait to see what else you guys cook up (and eventually reach)... ;)

    34. Missing avatar

      Matthew Collinson

Thx for posting cant wait to see the stretch goal for multiplayer.

    35. Benny Nguyen on

Hmm, a little disappointed the stretch goal for adding COOP wasn't on this first list. Still the ones listed are pretty great and I have a good feeling hitting $200k for the ports won't be hard to reach :D

    36. Jeroen Klein Brinke on

@Radiant Entertainment Awesome! I'm all save then. Good luck! Will look forward to a new update :)

    37. Adam J Marquis on

      Danger Zone.

    38. Nick Hanson

While I love the art style in general a rabbit clan really isn't my thing. I personally would like to stick to standard fantasy races with the anime/8bit art style in my games so I hope there's an option to turn off the bunnies. The "subterranian" has me interested though, does that mean the mining will be in as part of that goal? The FAQ says "eventually" but coming from Minecraft and Timber and Stone mining is a HUGE thing for me.

    39. Radiant Entertainment Creator on

@Jeroen The mammoth is in addition to all the other rewards. So if you backed a the $50 level, you get the kitten, puppy, and the mammoth too.

      Chris D. on

More biome and friendly faction stretch goals please!

    41. Jeroen Klein Brinke on

Those goals look awesome! Hoping you guys get to the 160k goal because those rabbits look adorable! 8D A question, do people get the mammoth besides the cat/dog (and do people who get the dog and cat already get the mammoth as a 3rd pet)?
Still hoping you guys make way more money than the 200k goal tho!

    42. Kyle on

      Mac support! Here we go!
