Development Update and Stonehearth Alpha 6!
It's been a while, so here's an update on how development of the game is going. Overall, we're making solid progress on gameplay features.
Stonehearth Alpha 6 and Beyond
We recently released our sixth alpha of the game. This is by far our most feature-filled release to date. It includes major improvements to the building system, and RPG-like levels and progression for your citizens. Here is a blog post with a detailed list of changes in this release. You can download Alpha 6 from your Humble Bundle page. If you installed the game through Steam, it should auto-update to the latest version.
Alpha 7 is already on the horizon. We are cautiously optimistic that we can get this release out by the end of the year or early next year. This release will be the first cut at mining, which is a major feature for the game. Here's a video of me showing off the in-progress mining feature.
Multi-player and OS ports
We understand that many of you are eagerly anticipating both multi-player and Mac/Linux ports of the game. I want to reassure you that we those are still slated for Stonehearth. We'll focus on both once we feel like the core single-player experience has been fleshed out.
Thanks again for your continued support! If you'd like to follow our progress more closely, we post weekly updates to our development blog at http://stonehearth.net or you can tune in to our discussion boards at http://discourse.stonehearth.net
