Halflings love food. They are constantly talking about food, thinking about food and of course obtaining food! Their obsession for food has grown into a sport and every year halflings from across the land gather to celebrate with a fabulous feast and take part in a now legendary eating competition!
However, as the reputation of each epicurean athlete is at risk some halflings will do anything to win the competition. All kinds of cheating can be found, whether it's modifying an opponent's dishes with something unsavory or enlisting a powerful magic spell. All can be found at a Halfling Feast!
Halfling Feast is a non-collectible card game for 2-6 players, designed by Naomi Styles & Robin Elliott. Each player represents a champion halfling eater with a mission to eat as many dishes as possible by the end of the feast. The player with the most points and dishes wins the game!
This light-hearted fun game takes approximately 20-30 mins to play. It's designed to be rules-light and quick to play. With great humor and easy game play, it's perfect family fun. This small game packs a humorous punch in one easy to swallow package!
We are looking for your backing to secure a full production print run to get Halfling Feast into as many hands as possible. With your help we can make this game a reality.
Each turn, a player can take one of five possible actions. Pick up and eat a dish card, draw an action card, play an action card, digest two points of food, or use a halfling skill. The aim of the game is to eat as many dishes as possible. However, each dish card has a fullness value. Once your halfllng reaches ten points of fullness you must find ways to make more room in their belly!
During your turn you can elect to use one of your halfling skills. Halfling skills are powerful and unique to each halfling. Using them is fun but will take you away from the main aim of the game, eating dishes!
Action cards can speed up digestion as well as delay your opponent, and are useful in many ways. You may play or draw one action card in your turn.
Play continues clockwise until all of the dishes have been eaten. The player with the most dishes and points wins the game!
That is a very brief overview of the game. For a more detailed explanation, check out our play video below!
We also invite you to try Halfling Feast with this print and play version, which you can download here.
The Print and Play version of the game is a fully functional version of Halfling Feast but several dishes and action cards are not included - if you want the full game pledge for your copy now!!
If you want to add more dishes or actions into your sample game just print some duplicates!
We think Halfling Feast is a great little game giving maximum fun and laughs! But don't take our word for it here is what others are saying:GRIM TREE GAMES

REVIEWS FROM R'LEH
A blog dedicated to reviews of RPGs and their supplements, with an emphasis on Call of Cthulhu and other Lovecraftian inspired games. All leavened with the occasional board and card game review.
"Physically, Halfling Feast is nicely produced, the artwork pleasingly and charmingly fulsome. In other words, there is something just a little grotesque about this card game, but that is perfectly in keeping with a competitive eating contest. Halfling Feast: a card game of competitive eating for 2-4 players is a silly filler of a game, perfect for filling in the corners between more substantial games"

There are a couple of things we want to do with Halfling Feast before we publish though. First, we want to add two extra Halfling characters to the game, allowing up to 6 players to take part in the feast!
We have decided to offer a unique chance to all backers - your likeness as part of the new character art! You just need to provide us with a photograph of you or a loved one and we'll get our talented artists to create a unique game component! We'll even try and work your name in the character's name! Triple Ace Games will have the final decision on the look and naming of the Halflings, but we'll work with you to get as much from this opportunity as possible. If no one backs this option we'll go ahead and create our own versions of the Halflings for publication.
Finally, we want to tidy up some of the card text making sure any rules which are unclear are understandable.

Triple Ace Games began in 2008. The masterminds behind the company, Paul "Wiggy" Wade-Williams and Robin Elliott, had previously worked on many RPG games including The Savage World of Solomon Kane and Slipstream settings, among others, for Pinnacle Entertainment Group. Triple Ace Games has produced many popular settings, including Hellfrost, Leagues of Adventure, and All for One: Regime Diabolique, plus more recently our fabulous Rocket Race card game. With many years of experience in the games industry, we continue to create fantastic games for everyone.
Risks and challenges
The design and most of the artwork has been completed for Halfling Feast, so we know exactly what will be going into the final product. We also have a great deal of experience in the field of games publishing, and also learned a lot from publishing the Rocket Race card game and we think we can deliver this project without problems.
However, things can go wrong with anything that goes into a manufacturing process. We have identified that delays in artwork delivery and delays in manufacturing could happen. So we have allowed additional time in our schedule to enable us to navigate any delay issues. If all goes to plan, we may even be able to deliver the project a little sooner.
We understand the printing process as we have printed a good number of books and games previous to this project, and we know how to communicate our ideas to the printer. We have discussed proofing requirements, so we know that when the printing press is started our product will match our specification requirements.
With projects like this there is nearly always something that costs more so it is good business sense to have some contingency for this, which we have built in to our costs.
No matter what problems may occur we will always keep our backers and supporters informed of all issues so that you are aware of the situation and how we are dealing with it.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
