IMO, a lot of money is on the table, because the models are so large. Also because sets aren't run for add-on purchase.

Suppose the plastics were rescaled down to a Kingdom Death-matching 38-40mm height (resins can stay at 50-60mm). Demons would be (largish) playable models in Warmachine and Warhammer Fantasy, among other things, so people could use these as crossover options.

Then, sell Demon packs as add-ons, encouraging WM / WHF players to buy piles of the stuff.

      @ Marrow
Are this the resin ones? And if yes what difference in size they will have?

    3. Jacky Phoenix

I think with the bigger scale/size. The model gets more details in them, which it's a big plus.

Yes. It's likely these models won't fit it with other games, but they don't need to. They just play well in this game as a standalone. And good as a collection.

Thinking to get loads of Green Stuff and customize each of the monsters minions to make them all unique.

    4. John H. on

Actually, these are more like 55-60mm models, not 28mm models.

IMO, 35-40mm would be the sweet spot for something like this.

      But they'll be beautiful.

This is the first Kickstarter I've backed, as I've sat on the fence for the rest of them. I threw in for this one because I felt it had a unique and independent vision -- going with their own idea for scale of figures just reinforces this for me.

Okay, I'll stop gushing now :) I'm just being an spastic Kickstarter noob.

Yeah, this update rocks the house.
Marrow, you are the dancefloor and the twist and shout!

Wow! These are bigger than I expected. This is so cool! I think this bodes well for those only getting plastic figures because the larger size will mean more fidelity to the original sculpt. For those getting resin, like me :), these are going to be freakin' stunning!

I know from forum I go like CMON and reaper mini and other that lot of peoples wont be pleadging because of the out of scale size of the charactere. I myself im a little desapointed from it! One solution tha could bring lot of people on the fence would be to make a add on streach goal for 28mm Tripitaka first and Monkey king cause is popular. If its popular you could also have capn Xu Fung. For the main game it could be a bad karma bad statue were Tripitaka and Monkey are reduce to smaler size and lost some of there punching power by being so small and have to try regain there original size by gaining good karma. Seriously that idea would bring lot of new people im sure ;)

Awesome, don't really care about using them with other games. I purchased THIS game so that is what my main purpose is for the Minis.

And i love HUGE minis, please keep them that way on the future ones also.

    11. John H. on

Thanks for the scale shot - it's good to have direct comparison to other gaming pieces. These models are huge.

If I'm not mistaken, these are on-scale with what Kingdom Death will release.

You should put these images on the front page (if your lawyers are ok with it :-)

      Wow, those are big models!

Being more of a visual person, this guide clears up the size question! Very good size indeed!

Great minis, great scale. Tripataka could actually be used, as euansmith said, as a Demon Lord of some kind, or some kind of celestial being.

    16. euansmith

I'm sure Tripitaka could be used as a "Counts As" Deamon Lord or Avatar.

Those MIniatures are turning even better than I hoped. Well done Marrow.

Wow they're bigger than my dong. So awesome

      @Howard Millington:

Kei Lun is still work in process, is about 127mm tall. Around double the hieght of Monk Sha.

    20. Mike Malley on

Somewhere it was posted that Kei Lun is ~130mm tall.

This game is going to be amazing when it's all set up...those minis are huge!

    22. Howard Millington

This really shows the figures to be a nice size. How big with the heavenly creature be??
