Example of Play, Part 1 and Backer Appreciation!

We've been working hard to get our backers some more information on what the game is actually like.  Newly added to the Kickstarter campaign is a link to an Example of Play .pdf file.  We also added that file directly to the campaign page as a slideshow video.

We're also working on a demonstration of play, and we hope to have that out to you all next week.

In other news, we're now more than 2/3rd funded!  Thanks to your support, we're closer to making a Traveller card game adaptation a reality.

To show our appreciation, all backers at the Low Passage and higher levels will get a free Kickstarter Exclusive Hans Rancke Memorial Promo Card automatically!  Additional copies may be added on for $2, or 3 for $5.

Cool cool. OK, it all feels like Traveller, that's the most important thing. As subjective as that is I reckon this works well.

There's quite a few attribute values to keep track of and their interactions to remember but you'd get used to it.

The only thing I'd worry about is the deck burning mechanic. I remember when the first Star Wars CCG came out, you had to burn the deck to power your cards. You'd basically be excising the game to play the game. I'd discard a Darth Vader from the draw deck just to play Aunt Beru Stew from my hand, its maddening. It's a bit of an anti-pattern to not play the game to play the game.

Can't wait to see more. I'm really glad you guys are doing this. I have many fond memories of Traveller :)

I'm really looking forwards to this as a blast from the past. Hope you'll make it! I will sign up for some of the options but I guess that will be on the post campaign period?
