It is the last days of what has been a worldwide zombie apocalypse and mankind stands on the brink of extinction from which it may never return. No-one knows the exact details of how the virus began, reports of attacks by the undead seemed to erupt all over the world in the space of 24hrs.
It took just another 24hrs for society to collapse.
For the next twelve months it seemed that mankind was facing extinction, forced from its position as the rulers of the planet by the undead hordes. Cities fell; millions died...and then rose again to prey upon those few that had somehow found themselves immune to the virus.
Yet even with immunity there would come no safety as bands of survivors turned upon each other, fighting vicious tribal battles for food, water and weapons, their former humanity all but gone, while all the time the undead hungered after them.
It seemed to those still lived that all hope was gone, that there was no way back from Hell.
However a lone scientist has developed a cure that will go airborne and restore all those that have been infected back to their former human status...all he needs is a little more time.
That is where Z-MOB begins...
Six desperate but hardened survivors, who have bonded in the horror of the last twelve months have fought their way back into the necropolis that London has become, escorting Dr Shultz past the hordes of undead to his former workplace in the heart of the capital; Atomic Laboratories. As if sensing that their existence is at stake, a horde of zombies larger than any the survivors have seen before has stormed the building and gotten through to where they wait in the lower basements while the scientist finishes working upon her cure. The job is simple; keep Dr Shultz alive as he perfects his formula to release into the atmosphere. Some of the survivors might die but they can make sure they take as many of these zombie b**tards with them on the way as they can.
Z-MOB is a strategy tabletop game that has both combative AND co-operative aspects to its game-play. To play all you need is two players (one to control the zombies and the other to control all six survivors) but that number can be raised to seven (with one controlling the zombies and the other six each controlling one of the six survivors).
Each of the survivors, plus the zombies, the doors through which they enter play and the machinery that acts as obstructions are represented in the form of acrylic game-pieces while the combat is dice controlled.

It is the manufacture of the acrylic game-pieces, the materials plus the labour that will take up the majority of the money that we hope to raise with the remainder naturally going on marketing, packaging, dice and such. The acrylic game pieces are being manufactured at a school local to where we are based and the money spent on manufacture will be going back into the children's facilities at the school, thus helping improve the community. We will be distributing the games through a variety of local small comic/gaming related businesses to begin with before spreading distribution to a wider UK audience.
Risks and challenges
With the school closing for the summer there was the possibility that the manufacture of the game pieces would be held up but discussions have taken place and those responsible for the manufacture are allowed in to continue their work as and when required.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
