If you contribute to this project then, I, famous guitarist Alan Jenkins, will send you a copy of the Free Surf Music #4 CD.
Said CD will be inside a digipak and will contain one experimental surf instrumental which lasts for 47 minutes. I think the clips in the video are pretty representative of what you're up against. You will notice that the music is all lovely, interesting, way out there on the cutting edge of the avant-garde, and immaculately recorded.
I have been working on FSM #4 since 2009 when Mat Bartram and I did the initial recordings. Mat played drums with me in a band called The Thurston Lava Tube. The previous Free Surf Music CDs were all made in collaboration with different notable drummers... on Free Surf Music #1 (vinyl LP, Sorted Records 1998) the drummer was Aaron Moore of Volcano the Bear, on Free Surf Music #2 (vinyl LP, Pink Lemon Records 1999) it was Euan Rodger of Black Carrot and on Free Surf Music #3 (CD, Cordelia Records 2001) it was Jeremy Barnes of Neutral Milk Hotel and A Hawk and a Hacksaw. FSM #s 1 and 2 were reissued on one CD by Cordelia Records in 2013.
The Thurston Lava Tube band grew out of the Free Surf Music project and we recorded six albums between 2001 and 2009. I mention this because these CDs will be part of "the rewards" as they call them round here.
Going further back in my meteoric musical career... in the '80s I was in a legendary post-punk indie band called The Deep Freeze Mice who recorded eight studio albums. These are all available on Cordelia Records and will also be roped into this whole Kickstarter thing. Here is a picture of one of them:
That one is a double CD and it's my favourite. All the Deep Freeze Mice CDs have been remastered and have interesting sleeve-notes and pictures - mostly they have booklets with lots of pages.

Risks and challenges
Lets see.... the pressing plant that I use can be a bit slow sometimes but they always get there in the end.... If I die it might be a problem. Not for me though. Ha ha. Obviously the biggest risk is that you might hear this CD and realise that everything else in your record collection is a bit boring in comparison.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
