My Life in Watercolor
By some wonderful twist of fate I have been able to spend nearly three decades painting watercolors for a living. The paintings I created were like friends that I got to spend some quality time with, but each ultimately found their way to new homes or were lost to private collections. While I cherished the time I spent with every painting, I had to part with most them at some point along the way to make a living and continue to paint. Over the years I have assembled a few museum exhibitions of my current work, but they were like seeing only parts of a puzzle; only a small sampling of the work I was creating.
I wanted to make something to show my work and passion in its entirety. A complete guide of my art through the years that could be shared outside a museum or private collection. The result is this book. A photographic record of my best watercolors created between 1985-2012. A collection of favorites. As a special Kickstarter bonus, I will personally sign each copy of the book, print reward, and original watercolor purchased through this campaign.
The final proof of the book is here. The publishing contacts are made; the prices and deadlines set. Everything is in place for printing and distribution. All we need now is the funds to proceed. As you can probably imagine, the costs to publish a book are staggering and nearly impossible to do alone. I could use a mainstream publisher, but I wanted to have more creative control over the final product to give you the best representation of my work through my eyes. However, to accomplish this feat I will need some help. With your generous support, I can make this book and this idea a reality to share.
Thank you for your support.

Measuring 12 x 12 x 2 in and filled with approximately 200 pages, this hardback book spans my best work from the last 30 years. From my landscape and cityscape scenes, to my famous glasswork still lifes, it is a complete guide to my life as a watercolor artist. Most of the pages and paintings are left without text or comment to allow the imagination to wander and the artwork speak for itself. There will be a forward written by me, which will give the reader an insight into my inspiration and journey over the course of my career. As a special Kickstarter bonus, I will personally sign each copy of the book purchased through this campaign.

Risks and challenges
Once we raise the funds necessary to publish the book, the biggest obstacle will be getting the books to you. After we send the proofs of the book off to the printer, it is out of our hands, and we must rely on them to get the books back to us in a timely manner. Any delay of printing or shipping is out of our control. Our solution to this problem is communication, communication, communication. All donors expecting materials will be notified of any changes to our release and mailing date to the best of our knowledge as soon as we can get that information to you.
We hope to have the books and all printed materials in your hands September 2013
The cost of shipping in the United States is included in the donation price. For any International orders there is a shipping fee of $40 to help with those costs. There will be an additional $10 charge for reward levels that include a print or custom painting. Please read reward details carefully for more information.
