The Music Industry is a smorgasbord of champagne enemas and mirrored glory holes.
OK, maybe I’m being a little too harsh. It’s not all bad. It’s just definitely not as glamorous as it’s portrayed in movies and television. But I don’t make music for the record industry, I make music for myself and I make music for you. You’re the one listening. The next step in my music career is to release a full length album. I’ve been working on the it for awhile now and It’s close to being finished. That’s where you come in. To finish and release the record I need your support. I’ll use the funds campaigned here to put the finishing touches on it. Mixing and mastering. Then I'll create a publicity campaign with a PR company to spread the album to as many people as possible. This album has become my wittle baby and I can’t just leave it on the doorstep of a label and walk away with my fingers crossed, hoping for the best. I hope my rewards are enticing enough to get you involved, because without YOU, and your support, It’s not gonna happen. And then I’ll have to go crawling back to a label, and I just said the whole champagne enema thing. Imagine how uncomfortable that meeting would be.
Risks and challenges
Nothing is guaranteed. Including the success of this record, but It's everything to me. Once the project has been fully funded, I'll need to quickly get the record mastered, and launch the publicity campaign. I'll be releasing the record towards the end of January, and that's coming up pretty quickly, so every minute of every day will have its purpose. Through blog posts and video diaries you'll get to see the rollercoaster of emotions and high anxiety. It'll be like an episode of 24 with a chubby Jack Bauer who cries a lot.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
