In movie-making, a “reveal” refers to the moment when an important story element is first made known explicitly to the viewer. Sometimes it’s when an important piece of information about a character is made known. Sometimes it’s when we see the monster for the first time.
What shall I reveal? Hmmmm…
We’re over 200 backers and $2700. Thanks so much for backing. Keep on sharing the game around. In fact, share other games you come across, too, please. There’s no such thing as “too many games.”
As a reward for the progress we’ve made, I’ve made the preview edition of the game free on DriveThruRPG.com. Go HERE to check it out. It features only the most basic layout and no real illustrations. But I’ve added four pages of completed game book at the front so you can see what the final product will look like. So even if you’ve previously gotten this PDF, it has new stuff.
Social Goal #3 – 20 Favorite Horror Movie Characters - UNLOCKED
Eight more characters are going into the game. Big thank you to everyone who helped spread the word. Since many of the people who helped in this social goal also posted their favorite monsters, let’s go ahead and add eight monsters to the game.
That brings the character count and monster count both to 24. Yowza!
Backer Count Goals Backer Count Goal #2 – New Character/Monster Reveals - ONGOING
Starting RIGHT NOW, I’m going to keep an eye on the backer count more regularly. Every five new backers (we're at 209 right now), I’ll reveal one of the eight new monsters or one of the eight new characters in the comments.
The ones I’ll reveal in the comments are brand new. They aren't in the Preview Edition.

Horror Tropes List
I’m still looking for horror tropes to include in the game.
If you offer up a trope that isn’t already on my list, I’ll add it. That said, I have limited space in the book so I’ll only add the best of the best. Shoot for tropes that are a little more obscure. Saying “running and falling down” or “no cell service” won’t earn you anything. Those are already on the list.
A Mid-Point Thank You
We’ll hit the halfway point of the campaign while I’m at AcadeCon. I’ll be a little busy then, so I’ll say it now. Thank you to everyone who has helped make the game, playtested, backed, spread the word, and so on. Making RPGs is something I love doing. I love the whole thing even more when one of them becomes a reality. And YOU are helping make that happen.
