Did you ever wonder if there is a possibility to ignite fireworks with your mobile phone?
Here it is!
But first of all we will explain why this is useful, what benefits it's creating and how that will work.
Did you know that at New Years Eve even for Germany thousands of accidents happened only caused by the careless use of fireworks?

Let's get an impression how easy it is:
The basic idea is to control Effects like fireworks, helium balloons or Confetti guns. Even any light effects or whatever a great party is needing can be controlled by a mobile phone, tablet or notebook without installing an app or anything similar. The EASYstart/ -launch is providing a WiFi to which you are getting connected through the QR-Code. Your personal QR-Code is created based on your personal serial number which you may find in the manual. Immediately a web app is getting opened and you are ready to control your effects.
Actually there are two different types of devices available with also 2 different types of ignition techniques.
The EASYstart as the smallest device is able to handle 3 channels where ignition cables have to be connected.
The ignition cables are one time use, as those are getting damaged after usage. The functionallity of the ignition cables is that a small wire inside the clip at the tip of the cable is getting heated by the energy pulse which is send to the cable.
The EASYlaunch has in addition to the 3 connectors for ignition cables another 3 guiding tubes made for firework rockets. Those ones are pretty easy to use, just put the rocket into the guiding tube and the fuse into the fuse funnel. Those igniters are multi-usable.
The igniters at the EASYlaunch are working in the same way as the ignition cables with heating up a small wire, with the only exception that those ones are NOT getting destroyed after usage and can be used multiple times. Both ignition methods are constructed in a way that NO contact with the hot wire can happen by accident if the products are used in the correct way!
To grant a stable stand for your EASYlaunch it is mounted on an aluminium tripod.
Is it just looking strong? NO. The housing is based on industrial standards because the device has to be resistant against rough circumstances like rain, snow and tumbling down.
What do I need for running an EASYstart / EASYlaunch ?
Everthing you need in addition to the device is a Powerbank you know from your mobile phone, 8 * AA batteries and a device which can handle WiFi and has a browser (e.g. mobile phone, tablet, notebook...)
The Powerbank* has enough energy to power the electronics inside
The AA batteries* are necessary to provide a longterm energy supply for heating up the wires
The device with WiFi is necessary to get connected to the EASYstart / EASYlaunch and will give you the possibility to control any actions via a website which is provided by our devices

The usage of fireworks is regulated by every country and sometimes also by municipalities in a different way. As oneclickaction is providing the ignition equipment please inform yourself separately about the usage of fireworks in your dedicated country respectively region!
Example from Germany: the usage of fireworks is allowed to fire without any additional permission only at the 31st of December and the 1st of January. In the case fireworks would be a nice show for any party or event during the year a permission can be requested at every munipal office. Also hereby different rules depending on the region may appear.
As the ignition energy which is provided by any of the products from oneclickaction is too low to fire anything except e.g. a fuse and also the energy is realized as a short impulse, there is no restriction on buying. It is not even possible to fire a piece of paper due to the fact that the impulse is low energy and short.
What's the plan now on kickstarter?
As the project is running since more than 1,5 years from the first thought up to the today's products respectively portfolio the target is to build up every process on serial production standards. That does mean to:
reorganize the manufacturing process
redesign the pcb-board with the control electronics and the mainboard
in a later stage of the project:
we are going to do a small new release which is based on the light concept of the devices
we are gping to add small design adaptions at the housing.
Behind the scenes
The challenge was to develop something with electronics which is later on able to provide enough energy to activate a fuse. Based on a microcontroller board with WiFi our team of developers created a controller board which is connected to the mainboard and is managing everything around the power side.
The board is going to be extended to six channels in during the redesign step as our series zero product was designed for only 5 channels.
Risks and challenges
To get the acceptance on a topic like fireworks, it will be absolutely necessary to come along with e.g. TÜV certificates.
People are trusting in certificates!
The biggest challenge will be to get the certificates for the IP class which is certifying against dirt and water due to the certain definition of the IP class and also getting first of all the local approvals of the german market and later on also for international markets.
With those actions we can generate more trust and create more a safety product than a gadget.
