Anvil has been trying to bring the idea that 3D Creation Center including, a filament Auto-Loading printer and the LEGO-like designing software, to life. This set of package will generate a new definition of Easy-to-Use. We no longer need to learn to use 3D model building, or download 3D models. Besides, the filament Auto-Loading section will free you from the waste of time of threading the filament that others take upon. You can get your 3D printer reloaded just like inserting a cassette.
If you want to see more closer pictures of this knuckle, please reach "Updates".
We have created a Lego-like designing software. Differ from traditonal ways, it will make everyone a qualified designer. You need only 3 steps to create whatever you like! (A vedio showing how to use our software to create a mug is in the following article.)
Along with our software, our printer is quite innovative too.
We developed a LEGO-like designing software to let everyone be a qualified designer, so as to create and design anything you like without any limit. You can create anything special and individual by only 3 steps. Combining with our 3D printer, anything, no matter how complex it is, can be brought to reality.
1st Step: Choose your brick
2nd Step: Adjust your brick
3rd Step: Assemble & Print
More than these above, this software also controls the 3D printer. All the parameters are preset, so you don’t have to worry about how to set up your printer. If you want to try something different to our settings, we left 3 critical parameters that you can adjust. Meanwhile, you don’t have to worry about whether the changes would cause any problems, Anvil will take care of that.

How did the idea of "Anvil" come up?
As a bunch of Geeks, we began with the idea of making a 3D Printer not only targeting whom knows how to use a 3D printer (including 3D Modeling) in a complicated and professional way, but someone as creative as you are, and has no experience of using 3D printers or 3D modeling. If you had had, you would know that it is impossible to pay no attention to your 3D Printer. Most of them have complex operation systems, lots of buttons, and lots of parameter to set. Besides, none of them have a Filament Auto-Loading section, you will have to thread the filament into the extruder by hands.
As to software, most of the 3D printer companies expect their customers to build 3D Models like a professional does, or simply choose 3D Models from a library, just like eBaying. Some of the other companies may have tried to develop something different, but none of them dares to show a full modeling process, not even for a Mug. Because they know they can’t!!!
What’s the point of getting a 3D Printer, but unable to create something of your own?
That’s how we came up with the idea to develop a 3D Creation Center. A combination of hardware and software, both designed to take care of our customers and to free them from tools, for everyone with any background and experience. And also, some professionals may find new ways to work better.
What will you get？
For all our backers, we’ll provide different kinds of rewards to show our appreciation. You’ll receive a sincerely “Thank You” for $1, or a lovely T-shirt for $30.If you back us for more than $349, we will send you a fabulous pack of Anvil 3D Creation Center, including a top level desktop 3d printer and a Lego-like designing software “3Dit”. With this incredible combination, you can design whatever you like FREELY and EASILY.
And more than everyone else has ever done, we will give all our backers, who receive our printers, a “Care Package”. After 6 months since you’ve received your printer, you can send it back to us for overhaul.
And it’s totally FREE!
Once we reach our goal, we will give all our backers what we already have, and push ourselves to do even better. We will continue to develop our “Stretch Goal”. Not like others who might bargain for what they would give, only if will they reach a certain goal. We just won’t do that. What we want is to bring 3D printing to every desk and to make everyone a designer!
So you might receive more than you expect, but never less. If the “Stretch Goal” can’t be delivered with Kickstarter rewards, we will deliver them to the backers who get the Anvil 3D Creating Center within one year. It’s FREE too!
Social Network: Allow you to upload your wonderful design, share your creation with the world.
Library: We’ll upload new bricks and theme packages (like LEGO does) here, so you can download some new toys.
Bricks Associative Modeling: This function will allow “3Dit” to learn your preference when you are designing, and automatically provide you some bricks you’ll probably use in the next step.
Precious Metal Printing: A new extruder allow you to print precious metal clays.
Why the name “Anvil”?
Anvil is the tool that mastersmiths use to create objects in the past. It’s the birthplace of many novels, many things weren’t existed before coming to our life. What we could dream for, where we’re supposed to do on Anvil.
We chose Anvil to be our brand because it is not only the creating tool, but also gives us the feeling of strong and firm. That’s the atmosphere we’ve been and what we will carry on!
Team & American Branch
We are a Shanghai-based advanced technology company. Now, we’re focusing on 3D printing, but in the future, we’ll explore many different aspects of advanced technology. Furthermore, we have been running for next step. So far, there is one office set up in Chicago, Illinois; two of our initial members have been working there. Given that North America is our priority market in the following years, we will expand our branch from just an office to an entire agency, which will include the departments of market, sell, staff and general stuffs in the US. We welcome everyone interested in applying our opening positions in the following months either from our official website or stop by in person!
We are an international team, crossing the Pacific and the Atlantic, from Shanghai to Berlin, from Hong Kong to Chicago. Our team is a highly effective and developing group. From the start-up of Anvil, our goal is to reach the most front edge of time. All of us are young and passionate. And it is our passionate team members that bring Anvil to life, we are all pushing ourselves to be more creative and passionate. Backing us is to be beyond what you’d expect.
Risks and challenges
We have dreamed profoundly. We assure you, we could do better.
Since the beginning of designing Anvil 3D Creating Center, we’ve been working closely with several well-respected manufactures in Shanghai, China. They made most of the mechanical parts in our prototype shown in the video. They not only demonstrated a strong ability to deliver good quality products on time, but also expressed valuable opinions on our designs.
We are using 3D printing parts to verify our designs and we are now entering the final stage of verification. Over the last few months, we have secured several suppliers who are all very interested in providing us with their services. This would give us the opportunity to choose the best quality supplier.
Our software is a crucial part in Anvil 3D Creating Center. It lowers the entrance requirement of enjoying creating. As for now, we only need to add a few more functions to our software before we could launch it. After that, we would send out digital copies to our backers (who are interested) to help us perfect it, we’d be honored, would you like to be interested in taking a crucial role in our project.
Supply chain & Logistics
When designing the Anvil 3D Creating Center, we are always thinking about manufacturing. In order to make sure that our designs are mass produce ready, we worked very closely with manufacturers. In this way, we secured the suppliers for every part we are using. Only less than 10% of the parts (not including the injection plastic shell) will be custom made. So there shouldn’t be any problem with supplying us with our parts. Moreover, to be more ensured, we’re recruiting supply chain specialists, in terms to having supply chain secured.
