Brief status update on rewards!

For those who still haven't received your rewards, let's do a rundown of where things stand:

We have all the prints now (except for Brandon Graham's, but I promise we're trying our best on that front), so they and the associated reward packages have started to go out.

The bookplates are making their rounds among all the artists signing them, traversing North America and getting more awesome with each stop. You all will know the second they've made their way back to home base.

Sketch editions are also in progress. Farel has completed his set, so those will be the first out of the gate.

The digital rewards got caught on a two-pronged snag -- while they were supposed to be the first things out of the gate, a major time deficit and one missing chunk of art slowed things down considerably. They are not gone or even slightly forgotten, however. I'm working on them, and will be stuffing in as much as content possible, especially on behalf of those of you who didn't or couldn't pledge for the book. After all this wait, you've got to have something rewarding to show for your support. There will definitely be some more finished pages included than we'd initially planned, so that you can see more of the final product you helped create.

We've spent this past week pushing extra hard to get a bunch of physical rewards out, because next week we'll be out of commission on that front. On Sunday Josh and I are heading to France, as Peter Maresca of Sunday Press (whose gorgeous, huge, Dream Another Dream-inspiring collections of McCay's Nemo are finally back in print!) has invited us to set up with him at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. It'll be our first time experiencing it, and we're really excited. This is certainly going to be an interesting - hopefully, only in a good way - year to venture into the French comics scene...

My hope is, schedule and fatigue permitting, to get a huge chunk of the digital stuff in the bag while in France, and especially on the flights there and back (that's about 12 hours each way for me, so I'll be working as much as my laptop's & body's batteries allow).

Here's some clarification on a topic that's come up in a few conversations: we use a tracking service on every reward shipped, and you should automatically receive an email with the tracking number as soon as postage for your reward is printed. Some of these e-mails may be caught by a spam filter, however. Keep an eye out, and shoot us a message if at any point you think you should have a tracking number, but never saw one. We'll let you know what's up.

Also, of course, do let us know if there are any problems with your reward when you get it. There are a lot of moving pieces to manage here and it's only natural that one or two of them, somewhere, will end up out of place. And we'll be happy to fix any and all problems that may crop up.

We appreciate your support and patience immensely and don't take either for granted. There's nothing that makes us happier than hearing from a backer who's received and loves their book -- because who else could be more important to please? So we want to keep that happening at as brisk a pace as possible.

Bonne nuit,
Andrew, Josh, & Chris

Hi guys. I haven't received my print and I assume it's because I've moved since your campaign took place. Can you let me know how I can update my address with you so I can get my print? Thanks!!!

So I guess that I'm just waiting on Brandon finishing his print and then I'll get my book and the print? I just saw him at an author event in SF - I should have cornered him there!

I am still waiting. Is there any way to get an update? And will any notification be sent when shipped? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hey Stephan, we can't apologize enough for our misjudging of how long these things would take. Your print actually went out at the end of last week - it might take a little bit to get to Germany, though!

Thank you for this update. It is good to know where things stand while impatiently waiting for everything to arrive. Have fun in Angoulême! It will be a blast for sure.

I will patiently been waiting . Have sold three out of my store so far, but haven't actually seen one open yet. The suspense is killing me.

Richard: in order to not add another complication that might slow things down any more, we're waiting to do that once all the books have been mailed.

Thank you very much for this update! It is lengthy, but just the right amount of informative. Sure, it's a bummer that there are still plenty of us waiting to get our eager hands on this obviously incredible book (and other goodies!) but it's good to know exactly what parts are holding it up, what the plan is, and what to expect as far as shipping goes. So, thanks! I'm even more excited now that I know we're turning one of the final corners!

Hi guys, when will the remaining work prints be available for backers to buy?
