Once Upon a Time Machine: Greek Gods & Legends (from old friends)

Hi, Nemo backers!

We realized, just now, that you might be interested to know about a new book that a whole bunch of Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream creators had a hand in making!

In April, Dark Horse Comics released Once Upon a Time Machine Vol. 2: Greek Gods & Legends. Don't worry, you needn't have read Volume 1. Like Little Nemo, this is an anthology where every story stands on its own. It's also the first anthology we've put together since Nemo.

In OUATM Vol. 2, each creator or creative team has taken a story or character from Greek mythology and re-imagined it in the realm of science fiction. Whether action, comedy, hard sci-fi, romance, or any combination thereof, a full range of approaches is explored in a diverse collection of stories.

These new visions of the Greek tradition include a time-travelling Icarus, creation mythology commandeered by a terraforming satellite, Apollo's social-media-age pursuit of Daphne, and a showdown between developers of a virtual reality RPG.

Returning creators from Locust Moon's Little Nemo include editors (also writers, here) Andrew Carl, Chris Stevens, and Josh O'Neill, as well as artists Ronald Wimberly, Toby Cypress, Paul Pope, Jonathan Tune, Mike Sgier, Charles Fetherolf, Dave Chisholm, Andrea Tsurumi, and James Comey, all providing stories. Paul Rivoche, Maelle Doliveux, JM Dragunas, Gregory Benton, Bodie Chewning, and Aaron Conley have also returned with pinups, and Farel Dalrymple has painted the cover.

Here's a preview, featuring some of these old friends...

You'll find more previews, and updates on creators appearances, at Once Upon a Time Machine's website here and Facebook page here. You can buy the book on Amazon and lots of other places - including your local comic and book stores.

To the future!

All Signature Plates Shipped

Hi all! We're in the throes of preparation for the upcoming Locust Moon Comics Festival on Halloween. I hope all of you who are nearby will join us!

Just a quick note on progress. At this point all of the signature editions -- both ALL KINDS OF SIGNED and all single artist signatures -- have shipped. So if you are owed one of these items and have not yet received a tracking number please let us know.

That's likely all we'll be able to get out in October. However, sketch editions and original art editions will begin going out in the beginning of November. And then, very soon, we'll be at the end of this wild (but very slow) ride.

We're so close! Over 90% fulfillment. Thank you so much for your continued patience everyone. Wishing you the spookiest of seasons, dreamers.

Individual Artist Signatures Shipping

Just a quick update for you guys:

We're continuing to get the few remaining rewards out as fast as we can. We sent a shipment of 40 rewards packages out today, including all of the individual artist signature editions. (Except for the Sienkiewicz editions -- we need a couple more weeks to get those out. But trust me, when you see the love Bill put into these, they'll be worth the wait.)

SO -- if you are a backer who's waiting on an ALL KINDS OF SIGNED edition or a non-Sienkiewicz individual artist signature edition, and you haven't received a tracking number, please contact us via Kickstarter message and let us know. We'll figure out what's up with your book.

The remainder of this week is about to get swallowed up by the ravenous beast called New York Comic Con, but once we're back in Philly we'll be back on the grind. The main things we still have to ship are the sketch editions and the original artwork editions. We should be able to start getting those out (along with the Sienkiewicz sigs) by the end of October.

Thanks so much for your patience everyone! We're now well over the 90% mark in terms of fulfillment. So sorry if you're still waiting -- it won't be much longer.

And please -- if you're at New York Comic Con come and say hi!

Happy Labor (of Love) Day!

Hello friends! It's my pleasure to be able to post an update consisting of something other than simpering apologies and pleas for forbearance. Real progress is (finally) underway!

The bookplates have landed. All of the ALL KINDS OF SIGNED editions, including group 1, group 2, and groups 1 & 2, are packed up, posted and ready to go. That's a total of 67 fancy-pants bookplate signature editions, bundled with overflowing reward packages, sitting in a glorious stack in our art gallery.

Tomorrow they'll be in the hot little hands of the US Post Office, winging their ways all over the world straight to your door. Over the course of the next two weeks, we'll be packing up ALL of the signed-by-a-single-artist editions, and they'll be on their way too.

So if you're an ALL KINDS OF SIGNED backer and have not yet received an email with a tracking number, please message us and we'll figure out what's up. Your books and prints should be en route to you.

We're still waiting on a few things, like some of the sketch editions, Brandon Graham's print and a couple of pieces of original artwork. But we are asymptotically approaching complete fulfillment. 912 down, 124 to go. As always, a lot of the folks who backed us the most are receiving the most elaborate rewards, and therefore wind up waiting the longest. We're sorry about that.

Thanks again to everyone for your heroic patience and extraordinary support. As says the subtly self-deprecating motto of the South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, we're getting there.
