Aiden, an energetic substance-abusing writer, one fault away from hitting rock bottom, convinces Hazel, the woman interviewing him for a job, to go out with him. Aiden has his own idea of who she is, and who he wants her to be. However, putting her on a pedestal causes a backlash that forces both of them to confront the restricting standards placed on men and women in modern society. Both of them get a chance at something many of us desire: seeing the potential cracks in a relationship before they ever happen.
This is a passion project for the crew involved. However, we need a number of resources so that we can accomplish the following:
- Securing and housing actors
- Dressing the set to accomplish the appropriate look and feel for the film
- Acquiring props and wardrobe for the cast
- Transporting and feeding the cast/crew
- Equipment rental
- Promotional and marketing costs

The film is made up mostly of interiors, with exterior scenes aiming to feel like a breakaway. Each interior will have its own look that ties into the color pallet: Balancing between cool colors – midnight blue, faded lilac; and deep warm earth tones – brown/coral/amber.
We plan to shoot on a RED camera with vintage anamorphic lenses. This set up, paired with a specific color grade, will allow us to get a more textured image that gives an interesting unusual/natural style.

Risks and challenges
As an independent film, some challenges that arise include housing actors, renting our own light/camera equipment and securing our own insurance. However, we have already crossed a number of hurdles with this project, and we will do whatever it takes to get this film made.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
