      Thank u creator hope u add either internal rechargeable battery like phone it's easy to recharge a month or so.. Thank u creator for quick reply

      Hi KB, thank you for your comments. The battery is an AA size lithium type 14500. You can use either rechargeable or one time use disposables. The cap is removable for quick and easy battery removal. iGoSense is designed to operate on batteries alone but we do have some mains powered concepts in the pipeline for permanent installations. The battery life depends on how many activations per day, i.e. how much movement is detected.

      Hi creator thank you for quick reply.. Just couple of questions.. Does the device have inbuilt battery or do we have to supply power through power outlet or power bank.. And does it have 90 days battery life when connected through wifi and sending motion alert that is very impressive.. Even a month battery is very good.. Awesome project creator.. Can u give us some demo of product if possible.. Thank u creator

      The recommended battery is a high capacity 2400mAh type which will take 4.5 hours to charge with the standard charger. Two bays are available for simultaneous charging of two batteries. Additional batteries are also readily available if required.

      Hi, thanks for the comment KB.
      The design goal is to achieve over 90 days with a rechargeable battery and with typical usage. Two factors have the most significant impact on battery life; the ping rate and the number of motion detection's. The ping rate is adjustable and is provided as a way for iGoSense to keep in touch with the App even when no motion has been triggered. Each ping and detection will use some extra power consumption over the constant standby consumption. With the ping rate set to zero (turned off) and no activation's the current consumption is very small and so several months of life could be expected. Lithium primary batteries are also available and although they are not rechargeable they provide a slightly higher capacity for extended duration operation.
