DEAL is the story of one man’s violent journey to find his place in the ranks of an underground Vegas group called The Organization. This group is in place to serve the Vegas elite, making any unique problems and situations disappear... no matter what it takes. To become part of The Organization is a true test of blind and emotionless perseverance. And once you’re in, your responsibility and life is Vegas and the deals of The Organization.
Matt has spent a couple of years as a runner for an underground Vegas group called, “The Organization.” This group’s responsibility is to keep the problems of the Vegas elite hidden and managed. The problems are anything deemed an issue, such as murder, rape, debt collection, special deliveries and general enforcement.
The Organization consists of Players, Fixers and Runners.
Players float through out-of-state casinos cheating the properties out of millions, while policing Vegas’ own properties for cheats like themselves. They manage the market share and maintain quality control.
Fixers are the problem solvers. Vegas is an open city, meaning no one organization has complete control; the fixers play the roles of mediators, enforcers and cleaners. They can be saviors or silencers.
Runners are the movers and transporters for The Organization. They are trustworthy, know their role and make a quick buck for a short run. A Runner’s guideline is simple: Don’t ask, don’t tell and you won’t disappear.
Matt has spent his time as a Runner and now he wants something more, to be a Fixer.
In order to move up in the ranks, Matt is granted an audition with a long-time Fixer. This Fixer, Cole, will show Matt the ropes. Once Matt proves himself, he will be tested in an invite-only, winner-take-all poker game to earn his position as a new Fixer.
The poker game is unique. It will test Matt’s ability, commitment and sanity.
The game introduces five strangers, each having their own deal with The Organization. The deals are not to be divulged and the players are to remain anonymous. Once the game begins, each player must finish. The only way out is to be the winner. The losers will pay for their mistakes.
Matt will do whatever it takes to earn his position and get his DEAL.
WHO I AM...
My name is Chris DeFranco. I have written, produced, directed and edited hundreds of commercials, several long form videos and six short films. I’ve earned awards and received accolades. And now I want to make a movie.
I am a hard working professional who loves the craft and have been in the world of commercial and television production for over 15 years. Along the way, I have enjoyed writing screenplays, developing ideas and creating interesting characters. It was recently with the introduction of the DSLR (an affordable camera with high quality results) revolution, I realized I could take everything I’ve learned over the years and apply it to making my own film.
I’ve waited long enough and I’m ready to take it to the next level. I am ready to make a movie, my movie... “Deal.”
The production team behind “Deal” is looking to raise $35,000. The funds will be used to pay for equipment, crew, locations, food and actors. We will also be calling in a ton of favors from friends, family and a couple of shady characters.
We want everyone involved with this project to be a part of the entire project. For this reason, we will be keeping a production log with updates from the set, video journals and pictures. It will be a complete record of our efforts.
We also would love to have your vocal and viral support. We want you to spread the word about our film. Let people know about Deal and how they can be involved. The more the merrier.
We need to meet and hopefully exceed our goal of $35,000 in the time allotted. You can see time is ticking way. If we don’t reach our goal… well, we are shit out of luck. No money - no movie. And that sucks. So, please... contribute and spread the word.
