The Van Camera Obscura in Lebanon (Canceled)
Our goal is to build the first ever mobile Camera Obscura in Beirut, and take it to schools, refugee camps, and events around Lebanon.
Beirut, Lebanon is ripe with artists.
We are partnering with a few Lebanese artist who care about their country and the people who are seeking refuge there.
Our goal is to use the creativity we practice to help encourage the people of Lebanon to keep learning and keep pursuing positive change for unity in their country.
Our tool to help nurture our goal is a mobile Camera Obscura. We are buying a van and remodeling the back into a camera Obscura. We will then take this van to different parts of Lebanon as a way to challenge people to look at their surroundings as an opportunity for beauty and encourage to make those changes necessary for positive change.
We have two groups of Lebanese artist who are partnering with us and we have several connections at refugee camps and schools who let us bring our van to their areas.
Help us make a positive difference in Lebanon by building this mobile Camera Obscura, because we believe it will be a space that nurtures Unity and encourages learning.
Risks and challenges
Their are many risks involved with this project.
Number one. We will be driving in Lebanon ;), but its ok, because we have many skilled drivers who have battled the traffic of Lebanon and stayed safe.
Number two. We need to raise $7000 as soon as possible. Preferably in two weeks.
Number three. We want to spread a vision that will catch fire in many peoples hearts, so that the project will be run by more people even after we leave.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
